@chrisbosh: Good night everyone! There's still a lot on my mind. Hopefully something to help me will come in my dreams one of these nights.... Okay have to say....."Dream" has me intrigued.
Really? Dear lord i think this board has become senile. Look the deal is already in place. There is no conspiracy. If Bosh wants to come to houston it will happen in a snap of a finger. If he wants to take less money to join Wade in the showers then so be it. Let the two love birds have their 6 years together. Who cares? Bosh comes great. If not we still have a really good team and a fun one also. We also have the option to pick up someone at trade deadline. Just chill and stop over analyzing
Agreed. Bosh seems to be more interested in playing for a particular city rather than a chance to win something big. Both Cleveland (if Lebron stays), Chicago or Houston presents better opportunities for someone interested in deep playoff runs. Miami? Even with Wade, it is a team destined to be pummeled by the Orlando's and Boston's of the eastern conference. If he goes to Miami, that will be a decision he will come to regret.
I agree completely. PF is not an issue, interestingly enough. Scola/Hill/Hayes is pretty competitive and versatile. Never understood why we didn't turn our attention to getting a true, legit PG (I'll never buy that Aaron Brooks can be the starting point guard on a championship contender; just too much shooting, not enough passing and floor leading; not enough defense) or another legit big to backup Yao, give him some minutes and rest and rebound and block shots and clog the paint. I understand the idea of wanting the home run free agent, but I think it'd be just as wise waiting for, say, someone like Carmelo next summer since he would be an ideal fit for this team, and much more needed than Chris Bosh.
Couldn't agree more. As much as I want Bosh to come here I can respect him going to Chicago, Cleveland, or even New Jersey if he goes with Wade or Lebron. Going to Miami just doesn't make sense to me. That team with Wade and Bosh is the third best team in the east at best and that's assuming the Celtics are going to be too old and the Bulls don't end up with Boozer and and a good shooter like Korver or Miller. The Bosh/Wade team might not even be better than the Bucks if Bogut and Maggette can stay on the court and the Hawks still aren't a bad team with an over paid JJ. I don't see why you go to a team that could easily be the 5th or 6th seed in the east when you can go to Cleveland or Chicago and compete for a championship right away.
I will respectfully disagree with you. I think we are OK are pg. Brooks has shown he has repeatedly eat the fakers's pgs. Where I thing Morey has been lacking is getting us a good defensive center who will rebound and block shots. Hayes got killed last year trying to play center. It was not fair to him, the team and the fans that Morey failed to get us a decent center last year. As hard as he tried, Andersen was soft as a pillow, hence the Charmin ultra soft accolade.
Even if Houston didn't have a good chance for Bosh it's not wasted time or effort. They have to do something to look relevant not only for fans but for lower tier Free Agents so that Houston looks like it's actively making the team better and making moves. Morey has the guys on staff... what's he going to do give them the summer off? If Bosh comes it's a home run it's worth the effort for the potential (although longshot) payoff
