Even Stephen A. has jumped off the wagon...

stephenasmith Here's the deal: With Bosh turning down Raptors sign-and-trade to Cavs, it's looking like Bosh is heading to Miami, which means Wade stays

A few days ago on Sportscenter there was a segment where one anchor asked the "insider" or other anchor, I forget, about the Rox and he told her they would speak about it off camara. Sounded juicy but wasn't really that big of a deal.

LeBron is the one holding the press conference. I don't know if the conference was his idea, of if it was something that ESPN pitched to him and he accepted on the condition that sponsorship proceeds go to his charity. One good thing about is it sets a hard deadline on when this will be over. Not only does that let his fans know a decision is coming soon, it also can help move along discussions/negotiations he's having with other teams or players.

Stephen A.[and really all the media covering this] all over the map. First it was NY for LeBron, then MIA to team up with Bosh and Wade, then said something about Bosh and Houston, now Bosh to Miami

Nothing. The co-anchor she was talking to is from Houston and is probably a Rockets fan.

Its really starting to get to the point that people are gonna start to sour on these "Big 3!" It looks like that they think they are bigger than the NBA! I was all for getting Bosh a couple months ago, but now I kinda just want to add Miller and maybe another small piece and go to war with the players that want to be Rockets!

nothing to it, poster was just joking for the most part.... a few days ago a reporter mentioned houston and said something about "talking about it off air", but it wasnt a scoop or anything, just their personal opinion, since i believe one of the reporters is from Houston....just friendly chit-chat b/t them.

And we're up to 5 pages in less than a night. Anyone want to take a guess as to why the media feels the need to consistently post and report updates, at the risk of being wrong? Because we eat it up. If its in our favor we jump on it and have 10 pages in one day. If its not in our favor we pounce on it too with sour grapes, and we'll still have 10 pages. Still want to blame it on the free agents?

Miami newsr is reporting Bosh may be willing to take 5 year contract with the Heat. Obviously this is just posturing to attempt to get the 6th year deal, but one thing is certain.

    He's heading to Miami.

Combine this with the fact that everyone and their mothers are reporting Bosh and Wade are packaged deal, and that Stephen A changed his tune to saying he's going to Miami.

It's over folks, get on with your lives.

For now. Wouldn't surprise me if the other followed suit.

Let's look at what's happened this past week. A few tweets from Bosh. A few tweets from Wade. No statements from Lebron. A bunch of private (not meant for public consumption) meetings between teams and players trying to recruit them. A few statements from team representatives on how those meetings went. I wouldn't say any of these things were necessarily attention-whorish except for LBJ's just announced press conference.

And what else happened this past week? A ****load of conversations on message boards, including here, guessing and coming up with conspiracy theories on what will happen. The media reporting every hour on new rumors and what their insiders say. Message boards taking those rumors and coming up with more theories on what will happen. Twitter blowing up every minute on new rumblings and guesses. To sum up, the real drama has been from the observers.

It's not much different than Morey going after Gortat. Except x 100 because a bunch of teams are in the running and these are the best players in the league and will determine the fate of the NBA for years to come.

Stephen A. Smith and the rest of the media is all over the place because these players are all over the place.

The one thing I can't get over my mind is WHY Bosh would go to Miami in a S&T. Does he WANT mediocrity for the rest of his career, as Miami has to rebuild from the bottom up? Is he really that eager to play center the rest of his life and never shake the label of being a soft defender?

See, if Bosh was rumored to Chicago, I'd see that from a logic standpoint. But Miami just strikes me as the worst destination for Bosh. The city doesn't offer extra advertising income. They're not going to be instant contenders. Wade is getting old and potentially could break down in a few years. Everything points to Bosh likely being screwed if he goes to Miami.

He wants to play 2nd fiddle and we want a player like this.......good riddence.

Those 3 ain't winning a damn thing. What a joke.

This is the stupiest thing i ever seen. Why can't they talk to each other over the phone or something and decides this already. Why conference call? This is TOO SPECIALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL...actually too ridiculous.

He wants to play with Wade, that's the second most important factor after the money for him.

Have you ever had a good friend that you wanted to room with during college? Would you choose to do a doubles room with him, or go for a blind double?

I agree. Something's up. Bosh said he wanted to be acquired to be the main piece. Chicago fits that more than anything. Wade in MIA (unless he goes to CHI), Yao in Houston (to an extent). Rose is a rising star, but I think Bosh would have the opportunity to be the man in CHI (if Wade does not got there, too)

Besides Chicago, I think he has close to the same opportunity in Houston. To me, it's either Chicago or Houston

I think you're confusing a conference call with a press conference.

A conference call is a phone call.

I have officially given up hope. :(

I held out that there was a small chance that things could fall into place just the right way for Houston, but its clear this just isnt going to happen.

My only solace is that when they do end up in Miami, we still probably have a better team.
