there going to be so good for at least these next two seasons. your going to get tired of hearing about them buddy.
I don't see how this would add to any open options. He could have said what I suggested and a bad team would still welcome him as a "center piece." What did he gain by lying about his intention? In fact, what he said would have theoretically limited his options by scaring off some good teams who wanted to sign him as a second or third option.
Who cares, at the end of the day he's gonna spend the rest of his career in beautiful Southbeach in a house that he bought 3 million dollars less than market value and hoist the Larry O'Brien trophy at least 3-4 times in his career.
Sorry he didn't say what you wanted him to, but that's life. Name the team (or teams) he supposedly could have scared off? I'll answer for you: None. Sure didn't scare off the Heat, Rockets or Bulls. By saying he wanted to be a centerpiece, Bosh made sure contact negotiations started at the max. I sure hope none of the Bosh animosity here has anything to do with him not signing with the Rockets.
I was saying theoretically. You can't tell me how saying what he said would give him more options either, can you? You are speculating too. To tell you the truth, I was a little worried when he said that because if he really wanted to be "the man" then how was he going to play with guys like Yao and Martin? I don't know if that's something on the minds of some coaches/GMs too. At the end of the day, what he said about him being the center piece blah blah blah didn't mean anything. He's just talking up himself without the substance that backed it up. Everybody, including himself, knows that any team with him as the center piece can't be a championship team. THAT is why he's got no respect. It's a little like Dampier claiming to be the second best center. Not for me. In fact it bothered me a bit the way we chased him like he was some god. He's a very good player and he would have been a great fit to the Rockets. It would have been great to have him. But the way he conducted himself this summer made it kind of hard to root for this guy. Scola might not be as talented and might not be able to win as many games for us as Bosh could have been. But Scola sure is the kind of guy that is a lot easier to root for.
