He signed with Miami a day before LeBron signed. He probably knew LeBron was signing there but either way he signed before LeBron.

The so much potential thing is for what? He didn't have so much potential to be lead a team as the main guy. He was the main guy in Toronto look how that worked out. Every knows he's not someone you can win a Championship with as your main guy.

I can see why people bash LeBron about going to Miami because he is a true franchise player but Chris Bosh is not.

The guy clearly said he wanted to be THE guy..but regardless, IMO he could still be CHRIS BOSH and win by playing in many other cities, houston and dallas both being one of em.

I'm just saying its sad to see how content this magnitude of a player is with being a ROLE player in the prime of his career

But if thats what he wants, fine, I'm talking from a fans perspective

Of course he will be the ugly duckling....Wade and his sidekick run that town.

Bosh gets scraps, unless he is on fire, out there w/ the bench, or somebody is hurt.

I know he said he wanted to be the guy. Of course he's going to say that Free Agency. If he goes around telling everyone he wants to be a role player that would not go over well for him money wise when negotiating a contract.

Bosh is sort of like Gasol, he needs to ethier be the 2nd option to a great player(wade, lebron, kobe) to win or he needs to have a really good balanced team around him.

Chris Bosh is not forgotten, he's just secondary to Wade and Lebron. Option 1A and 2A are Wade/Lebron, Bosh is option B. That holds true for media attention as well.

He's rich, famous, and living in Miami. He wins.

I'm just looking forward to the season starting. Even with Van Gundy and everyone else d%ck riding these guys I just don't see this team as being that good. They're definitely going to struggle through certian points in the season and we'll see then who is poised and who is a true franchise player.

You really don't understand why a guy would lose people's respect when he clearly had said that he would be the main piece and then went on to be the third banana? Add to the fact that all indications show that he had already made up his mind long before the summer began...

I would have a lot more respect for him if he had said he would do anything to win a championship even if it meant sharing the spotlight with another star.

Main piece is a subjective term. 3rd banana is a main piece in Bosh's book. Just like how TMac defines 100% healthy.

It's clear why people would lose respect, but that's because they don't understand negotiating. You don't play any of your cards before you have to. In Bosh's case, it was in his interest to say, "blah blah centerpiece...blah blah not a role player" etc. This keeps his options open in case Plan A doesn't work out (for whatever reason).

To another poster, calling Bosh, "this magnitude of a player" proves Bosh knows his limitations much better than you do. Good for him. Realism often escapes professional athletes.

Oh, I get it...so you're saying negotiation means to lie and jerk people around b/c it's self-advantageous?

Who in the world did he "jerk around" by saying he wanted to be a centerpiece?

Some of you people are just amazing.

I don't hate on Bosh for doing what he did. He's clearly not a number one guy which is fine. Some folks aren't made that way. It's not like he did what LeBron did.

Either way... It's going to be fun watching teams trying to beat them down. I'm ready to watch...

Both Bosh and Lebron have probably tarnished their entire careers from a fans perspective. But who cares? Oh what I wouldn't give to be making millions of dollars living in South Beach.
