Unless that's all they want, I don't think I'd involve Hill in a S&T for Bosh. Bosh's potential is pretty clear at this point, but not Hill. Hill could be a bust, or he could wind up being the next Shaq. I think it's worth keeping him around to find out what he might turn into.

Um, yes they would be - because Bosh could threaten to sign with NY, take the extra endorsement money/exposure and leave Toronto with nothing. Bluff? Most likely. But the possibility that Bosh could leave them with nothing the very next day is a crucial difference from Memphis' situation with Gasol that has to be noted.

Bosh and Turkeyglu? Talk about a soft front court around Yao. And Bosh is no NBA center, even as a backup.

read my post. i'm talking defensively. obviously they would be very good offensively. with direction the rockets are going, maybe that's all that matters.

If we're going to be a high scoring team I guess we could afford it, but I'm saying I'd rather have a bruiser, shot-blocker, rim rattling dunker pf to play with yao.

WTF? So, we not only give up Jordan Hill and most probably our draft pick, but we end up taking Turkoglu's contract for Ariza as well? C'mon now, that's highway robbery

Raptors end up with two lottery picks next year, massive capspace from shedding Bosh and Hedo, get a promising big man who actually fits with Barg's playing style AND get one of the league's better defenders on a reasonable contract.

    Yah, that's a good deal....for the Raps.

lmao, New York is going to look so bad after this summer cuz they aint gettin ****! We dumped Tmac on them for their best assets who we can turn into Bosh so when it's all said and done we gave up Landry and broke back Tmac and got back Kevin Martin and Bosh all in a season that Yao was out rehabbing.

Hope this works, so we get to keep Martin, Scola, AB? I doubt, we can pull it off w/o including at least one of them. However let's pretend

    AB
    Martin
    Trevor/Bud
    Bosh/Scola
    Yao/Bosh/Scola/Miller

Not bad at all. If Yao is back 80% himself, I think we can call ourselves a contender w/ a straight face.
W/o Yao, well, at least we will make the playoff, and probably as a high seed

Not bad. Let it happen. Basketball god.

It still is a stupid move. Just because Marc Gasol turned out to be a very good player (better than Bynum IMHO) doesn't change the fact that Pau was traded for pennies on the dollar.

It was just blind luck that their unproven, out-of-shape prospect actually turned out to be a decent player...I mean, how often does that happen? Even if Marc Gasol was the spanish league mvp, Andersen was the euroleague's winningest player, and look how he turned out. They could have gotten a much better deal than what the Lakers gave them, reportedly Wallace just looked at which team had the biggest expiring contract and didn't bother contacting the other teams.

I'd rather have jefferson because he's a more physical player and he would cost less in terms of players involved. His injury history does concern me, but so do yao and martin. Jefferson can also and is willing to play center full time which is a bonus. I like bosh, but I don't want hedo and his contract coming back. With jefferson, we might be talking battier, anderson, and maybe the 14th pick in the draft.

I wouldn't mind taking back Hedo's contract if it meant only losing Ariza.

It's not my money that is lost so I don't care!

I like Jefferson over Bosh as well with that package. Considering how horrible Kahn is DM might get him for just Battier, Andersen, and maybe a Knicks pick.

Honestly Jefferson might be better than Bosh from a health standpoint. Jefferson already had surgery would spend this offseason rehabbing. Bosh oth might have injuries we don't know about...his knee looks really gimpy this season. Also with the dismal season Big Al had we can have him for under 10 mill, allowing us to retain Jordan and Scola. A frontcourt rotation of Yao, Jefferson, Scola and Hill? Where do I sign up?

To tell you the truth I wouldn't mind switching Martin for Turk. Turk has already shown he can help take a team far. Like I said all along about Martin. He's nothing but a stat all star. Oh wow he averages 30 points against the Grizz. He does well against below average teams but when it comes to beating elite teams it like he disappears. I'm sorry, but as long as Martin is on the team we'll never be an elite team with or without Yao because of his disappearing act against stronger competition and is sorry d.
