Hmm...? Who would you rather have? A 25-10 guy like Bosh or a 17-9 guy like Jefferson? Especially since you would have to give up more to get a guy like Jefferson. Getting Bosh will give us more assets to keep.
A valid consideration, I was just posting an alternative way of thinking about it. I do however like Bosh but believe it to be a Morey smoke screen while he executes his real plan. Y Battier & Hill for Bosh alone would be just about right!
I don't see why we would be interested in Ricky Rubio unless Morey had some plans to trade either Brooks, Lowrey, or Llull. I really hope he doesn't trade Brooks or Lowrey for Rubio straight up since Rubio has yet to prove how effective he will be in the NBA. Could Morey have something up his sleeve that we are not thinking about? It wouldn't surprise me if we end up getting a solid player this summer that no one here expected to land. That seems to be Morey's style, see: Kevin Martin.
They shouldnt trade Jordan Hill, even for Bosh. Jordan Hill is going to be the next Luis Scola. Get Battier to retire he is a better coach than a player.
Yes the defense would suffer but look at the offensive end of things. How many teams are going to be able to score with the Rockets. Not even the Lakers would have that type of offensive talent in their starting five. PG BROOKS SG MARTIN SF HEDO PF BOSH C YAO You would still have Lowery, Budinger, and Scola coming off the bench. No NBA team would be able to compete with that. Who are you going to leave open? Yao's and Bosh's height will be enough to stop a lot of the layups that were given up this year.
If we traded for Bosh and Hedo, and threw Hedo in the starting lineup, we'd quickly turn to the worst defensive team in the league.
Man I would take that deal but Hedo can go somewhere! I aint a fan of Ariza either but I would definantly take hem over Hedo!!!
if they make us take hedo we have to send them 27mil in contracts back. so we have to include ariza battier jeferies hill unless you want to trade martin.
So we can't trade Scola for Bosh, didn't know that. I'm not too convinced with having Scola & Bosh on the same team... About Bosh defense/toughness, I think it is without a doubt better than Jeffersons. Bosh has decanted games this year with a defensive action and 2 great rebounds (in New York), can't say the same thing of AJ. Bosh seems like a more solid all-around player, a true all-star. But: until it's shown that Yao's level is not the same as that of the 08/09 season, he's the 1st man in Houston. Beacuse a good Yao is the best big man in the game.
these writers come up with the most unbelievable rumors. i mean, where in the world did they come up with hedo going to houston??
I thought about that, too. (the Hedo talk by Stein)...and I have come to the conclusion that if we did that, we'd be the chokingest (i know it's not a word dammit) team in postseason history. That being said. CB4, Hope he comes here so I can play this when he makes a shot. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/WFY2kJ96jNY&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/WFY2kJ96jNY&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> from the movie CB4, of course...lol
I love Hill, but i would happily forget we ever had him if we got Bosh. Bosh is what 3 years older and a much much better player.
ariza will be able to gamble more once we get a big man to defend the paint. this year whenever he gambled it lead to an open layup.
