Bosh says Miami is top choice,might sign outright to be with "greatest player ever"

Old schooler bringing the truth and let me add, I've had a few players saying how hard it will be to play with yao. He's good enough to be a major cog, but he mills the shot clock and clogs the lane. Its going to be an adjustment for the rox next yr incorporating yao back. His lane presence on defense is probably a bigger benefit than his offense.

 

Hey Amare and the Rockets have one big thing in common. We hate Mclady!!!! He is better than Bosh because of that.

 

I think a lot of players dislike MerGady. They just don't make it public like Amare does.

Bosh isnt the guy we really think he is anyways, as a player and a teamate. He will go down in history as a Jermaine Oneal type of player. Lots of talent, but didnt ever have what it takes to lead a team by himself to a championship type of level.

Plus physically, there are alot of question marks and I would put money that he will have issues for the rest of his career.

Rockets fans- feel a sigh of relief because (you can quote me in two years) we dodged a bullet. The bullet being tied down by his contract. we have at least three first round picks in the next two years and lots of potential on our roster right now.

I agree. I think the biggest mistakes that GM's make come when they feel like they have to get "something" done and they force the issue, overpaying for someone just to look like they are doing something. All of the really memorably bad deals in NBA history are sins of commission not omission.

I think most of you understand these articles, but for the few that don't, exactly what the hell is Bosh supposed to say? He didn't say Miami was his top choice. He said Miami was a top choice. He would have to be a complete idiot, if asked whether team A is in top contention, to ever say otherwise. Rule one of negotiating is not to close any doors, because options work as leverage and to your benefit.

As far as Wade being one of the greatest players ever, again, what the hell else is he supposed to say? "Eh, this guy is kinda overrated, he's not that great"? Wade's a hell of a player and is also Bosh's friend, so if a reporter asks him about Wade, what in the world would you guys expect him to say?

I guarantee you guys that if Bosh makes a visit to Houston, he'll give incredibly glowing quotes about the Rockets organization and Yao. Guarantee it. Doesn't mean he would be a lock to sign here - it's just simply the common sense thing to say in the situation. If I were you guys, I wouldn't waste much time or energy reading into the politically correct quotes from free agents.
