Exactly. He couldn't even carry his toronto team into mediocrity in the land of mediocrity which is the eastern conference. As the saying goes, " Be careful what you wish for , you might get it!".
I think the Bulls are one of the few teams that may not need Lebron if they can get Bosh and Wade. You team those guys with Rose and Noah and you've got a really good team. Keep in mind they will have to pay Rose at some point.
I think we should all move on. He has clearly no interest in winning. It's simple, if bosh wanted to win, houston would be his #1 destination. He doesnt care. He's a loser and having him would not gurantee us beating the lakers.
Is he planning to come to houston to have a meeting with Morey tho? I was under the impression Morey had his meeting with Bosh, when he tracked him down in Dallas and presented the Bosh Ipad presentation. While Morey said it was a good meeting, what was troubling about it was the fact that Morey etc had no idea where Bosh would be days before the meeting... which caused them to send all those fans/toyota trucks to not only the wrong city but the wrong state and nearly halfway across the country. Add that to the fact that Bosh has had little if nothing to say about his interest in joining the Rockets, I wouldnt be counting on a Yao, Bosh pairing anytime soon.
Just looking at his game and talent, he'd be absolutely perfect as a PF on Houston's roster. But for me, there are doubts about his toughness and desire to win, and this FA process hasn't helped change my opinion.
well i thought teams aren't suppose to talk with free agents before July 1st. so why would Morey know where Bosh was at midnight July 1st? i don't even think their meeting were a scheduled one.
Which is my point... other teams had scheduled meetings on the 1st and 2nd, while morey had to track Bosh down... and hence my question, do the rockets have a meeting schedule with Bosh that we are unaware of? Or was that impromptu meeting it?
You obviously cannot deny his skill, but I was worried about those latter points you mentioned ever since there were rumblings we were planning to pursue him as well. I think his showings in the playoffs and his overall demeanor just don't speak to me as "superstar" type, but rather "Kevin Martin" type-- exceptionally talented, but not at supernova level. And thus I am surprised by the ardent, nearly fanatical enthusiasm for him by everyone, everywhere. His behavior lately has just made me feel, more and more, he would not be a good fit for us locker-room and mentality wise. We aren't the winningest team, but we are scrappy as all hell and don't fold to adversity easily. None of the team members are prima donnas.
