Correction: If you put up great numbers in a small market AND not win anything, then you'll be a nobody. Bosh just needed to focus on basketball, and if he wins (which he wouldn't have b/c he's not good enough), then the celebrity will naturally come. Just look at Duncan, Parker, Ginobili in San Antonio.

Rockets paying Bosh 126 million would have been a colossal mistake.

He has a point, although its not about the small market thing, its about winning and losing. If your a big man and you put up good numbers but your team continually loses you end up being ignored.

Case in point would be Pau Gasol. He was regarded as a nobody outside of Memphis, he got traded to the Lakers and boom! One of the best big men in the league almost overnight. He still had this soft image though, however when they won their first ring suddenly Pau Gasol isn't so soft anymore, even though his production and playstyle still looked the same.

Tim Duncan, Manu, and Tony Parker play in a small market.

And what about Durant? He's putting up monster numbers in OK freakin C and is the poster child for the NBA now.

As the year progresses, I'll be glad with stuck with Luis.

Alot of the posters are like little women scourned. He didnt say anything anyone else hasnt thought about. How many times have we heard "the best player nobody has heard of?" SAR and Bibby were good players in memphis/vancuver,but the team was terrible. Unless you have league pass, how many people watch granger? He made his choice and the rockets were never in it because they have too much uncertainty with yao.
