That is NOT how the NBA works. You should be more conerned about Harden signing with Indiana in 2 years.
Exactly. We want more spacing and ball movement, and we won't be able to get it any cheaper than Diaw. We need to try and SnT DMo for an asset, then trade for Diaw.
I don't know about that really. The guy makes DMo and Anderson look like awesome rebounders. Since the Rockets have made it clear they don't care about defense at all why not just play Beasley? The team is going to give up 140 points a game anyway.
Diaw's contract also has this non-guarantee clause for the 2017-18 season: Contract Notes: 2017 non-guaranteed, fully if not waived on or before 7/15/17
Whaddya mean not how the NBA works? Teams decide to blow up it all the time... If the Pacers ain't doing well (next year in the East: CLE > BOS > NY > MIA > TOR + MIL + CHA + DET + ATL + WAS) and George says to Bird "I don't really want to be here and I want to play for a contender", Houston's offer may be best they can get

Well, I'm sold. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It is difficult to gauge what the market might bear for Marjanovic. Used sparingly in his first NBA season, Marjanovic was nevertheless a model of efficiency. His “player-efficiency rating” of 27.77 ranked third in the league behind Stephen Curry, the league’s back-to-back Most Valuable Player, and Durant. In a perfect world, the Spurs would like to retain the big Serbian and continue to develop him. “He’s a heck of a teammate,” coach Gregg Popovich said during the season. “He’s a good passer with a really nice touch. He understands how to play. He just needs to get used to the size of the players and the physicality of the NBA.” [...] In any other offseason, the Spurs would feel confident about their chances of bringing back a player who averaged 5.5 points and 3.6 rebounds in 9.4 minutes per game last season. I don't see them trading him here. They will try to send him to a good organisation instead taht fits his style of play. Like Atlata or maybe Toronto.
I'm sure Morey is all over this. Diaw's ability to keep the ball moving, his passing, his ability to facilitate at his position is elite. He would definitely be in the rotation.
