Yeah, I feel like the sustained output generally beats out that burst stuff. And what if you reload while you're mid-killing someone? No bonus.
Paid off my preorder for the 360, going to pick it up at the midnight opening. I don't usually do it, but I put down the cash for one of 5 Ultimate Loot Chests. Going to ply as the Commando (I liked the Soldier in 1, don't see a need to change), and probably go heavy on the Survival branch so I can tank as needed. Plus that one lets me use two shielded turrets, so I should be able to stand up for a while. Anyone wants to team up, let me know.
So far I've heard of 2 reviews; 1 was a 9.5 and the other is a 9.75 from game informer I'm reading now. Game informer gave it Game of the Month, and awarded it "Platinum". Some very high praise; I can't wait. [Edit] I felt like this last little snippet was really pertinent:
Anyone pre ordering? You get cool starter weapons and a key. The key can be used to open a special loot chest that scales to your level. So you can open the chest almost immediately (a couple of hours into the game) or wait until you are higher level, so you'll get a better item.
I pre-ordered months ago. For people who aren't aware, you also get a little something extra if you pre-order from Gamestop: access to the Creature Slaughter Dome, which is basically an arena where you can battle some of the toughest monsters in the game... and your experience and loot gained can be brought back into the main game. Apparently this will eventually be paid DLC, but for a few months at least it will be Gamestop-exclusive content.

Sorry man I actually don't know the answer to your question. Unfortunately for me due to a backlog and not having as much time to game as previously, I will probably wait and try to get this game in the 20-30 range.
Didn't know that actually, but I do not have a gaming pc (I've been wanting to take the plunge), but for the time being I am only a console gamer, and not having enough time is more of an issue than money. Thanks for the head's up though.
greenmangaming.com is selling steam keys for Borderlands 2 with a nice discount with the code GMG20-AWDF9-Q1PEY, bringing the game to $38.40 after taxes, which was good enough to buy even though I will be stretched for time to play it with Guild Wars 2 still being played alot and Torchlight 2 coming out on Thursday.
Yes, and I told him that same code works for the full game -- same site, different code. Everyone I know that lives in the US has had issues ordering from that site, however.
I guess you're one of the lucky few. It rejected any form of payment I provided, including PayPal, a debit card, and a gift card.
