I would be extremely happy with Scola starting. But foreign players always need time to adapt to the NBA. Some players even need a full season to fully adapt to the league. We will see how Scola goes. Thanks for the welcome.
Exactly and add to that Scola was not too thrilled about signing with S.A. to sit smack dab in the middle of the bench.
that's true, but right now he's the best we have... I love Chucky, and it will nice to have the ball magnet make up for what I expect to be less than stellar rebounding by Scola. But Scola is the best option we have right now and it is unlikely that we will get someone better through trade - but maybe. I think you will see him play 24-28 minutes a game if not more. and you are welcome for the welcome.
I don't agree with that. He accepted to be a substitute with the national team, because the coach wanted to make the bench stronger. And also didn't have any problems when some years ago he was a substiture in Tau, while being the main scorer of the team. He would accept the bench. Of course, he would want minutes of play.
nba potential I believe would be more accurate. But I'm wrong a lot. I don't have a problem stepping up and admitting that you were right and I was wrong when it came to a second round prospect. Nice to see ya' Ill-Skillet (stomache hurts already)

You can get it with e-mule. highlights: 2004 Olympics Argentina -USA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBIJjIE1W9w 2002 World Championships Argentina -USA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsgoTmSEg_A In both videos, there are a couple of plays of Scola.
OMG, I LOL to that...my wife was like what's so funny..........my 4 yr old was like.........tell me dad.......but you won't get I said......... SA go S'd in the Cola on this deal. go Scola, kick some azz.......
I hope that he (like me) hates the Spurs with a seething passion that burns hotter than a thousand exploding suns. It will give him the necessary motivation he will need in the WCF.
we did beat them w/o yao during the reg. season. what i was trying to say is having hayes and scola in there would prollie shut down or negate their frontcourt offensively b/c whenever hayes was on him, boozer wasn't very effective b/c hayes was strong enough and quick enough to stop him. i think scola would be able to do the same. unless we put yao on ak47 and dared him to shoot everytime.
i liked that he swatted boozer in the 2004 video, and dunked on him on the last play (or is that Richard Jefferson?)
What I don't get is, for whatever reason the Spurs didn't want Scola, if he was really this good, why would they trade him to a team in the same conference??? Hell, even in the same DIVISION??? The Spurs have some pretty smart management, and even though I also have faith in the Rockets' management, this just really makes me think twice.
