We did go 20-12 without him, I'd say even money either way. Deke's defense is as valuable as Yao's offense.

You can't do that. Making Yao guard Okur means asking him to go to the perimeter. You're going to take away from Yao's rebounding and his ability to alter the slasher's shots.

i just hope yao has other moves on him. right now, even okur stated to craig sager that he KNOWS what yao is gonna do. that's why u see yao over-thinking out there.

and i do think our offense moves a lil better and more unpredictable when yao was out. obviously we don't have shotmakers to make it efficient the whole game.

but i believe yao will bounce back w/ a great game to at least dominate them the way boozer has us.

yao scored a lot of pts to end the first half b/c he was in the paint. if he gets good psoition, we're that much better. but he's not.

in yao i trust. in tmac i trust. now both of you have to return the favor and win the series. don't want to prolong the series

beyond yao, duncan and dirk are sucking too. but duncan has way better teammates so no one cares b/c his team is still winning.

maybe we can't criticize yao too much. first time in the playoffs as a marked man.

    hopefully he'll improve.

let's stop these bashing of either tmac or yao. they're our stars. we go as they go.

I don't know why there's so much vitriol in this thread. Yao was terrible for a major sequence in the game. I was at the game and the fans in my section were screaming for Yao to come out. It was that bad. It's not an insult to say Boozer scored at will against him.

M picture has been all over this forum before

    Im not an unknown

Wanna try that lame smack on me???

    Ill defend Yao

Boozer made some good shots...It isnt like he is some scrub, the guy has a damn good offensive game.

Yao also came thru in the end when we needed him, and we won.

    Scoreboard.

EDIT: OMg, I just read that crap you spewed after the one I responded to...you have no place here and I predict you dont last long enough to lose the rookie title you willl soon have

Who's the better rebounder? Chuck Hayes or Yao?

    That's a tossup.

Yao is struggling offensively partly because he expends a ton of energy guarding Boozer.

Notice that Boozer rarely guards Yao.

The poster you are trying to piegonhole into a category that fits your narrow minded world joined the BBS in 2000, 2 years before Yao. While in your world, everyone only watches the Rockets to hate on Yao or cheer on Yao, I'm sorry to spoil your little fantasy and tell you that you're dead wrong.

Rocksmillenium like most posters on this board are first and foremost fans of the Rockets, our world does not hang on the back spasms of TMac, the jacked up toes of Yao, or the turnovers of Franchise, we are Rockets fans, our world hangs on the Rockets, period.

I don't understand your ridiculous bashing of Yao, nor do I understand your sad attempts at putting labels on people. Your fixation on calling Yao the worst player on the team (which I took as hyperbole) and then your subsequent pathetic attempt at DEFENDING that position was laughable at best. The only thing that can even remotely redeem you at this point is if you're actually one of those YOFs who bring up the extreme position of ridiculing Yao in order to get the rest of us Rox fans to respond and say nice things about Yao. If that was your purpose, well it worked, good for you I guess.

If you want to put a label on everyone, here's one that Clutch should give you: Banned

Before we call any rocket player a loser, let's accept the fact that fans in houston suck the first and most. See those empty seats in Toyota Center in today's game, the probably most important game of the Rockets' entire season, it is just pathetic!

Are you truly this idiotic, or are you just pretending for our amusement's sake?

We played like this tonight, and we *won* the game. Why the hell would we lose the series if we play like this twice more? Wouldn't we win two more games?

What in the world are you smoking!?

Boozer's hands were steaming hot tonight, and Rox's help defense wasn't good, and Yao must stay away from foul trouble. Fairly speaking Yao could do little on this. I don't think Boozer can continue this play next game, and even you can say he has dominated Yao tonight, he didn't dominate the game. It's not much worrisome than Rox's own defense.

no one should be surprised. yao is nowhere near quick enough to stay in front of boozer. yao tries very hard but there is only so much he can do. obviously, we can win when boozer has big games, we just need to make sure deron williams isnt firing on us and we'll be ok.

WTF? im pretty sure boozer only beat yao to the basket, face on, 2-3 times. All his other baskets were mostly well contested jumpshots. other layups from boozer came after pick and rolls with bad help defense, thus separating boozer from yao, but HARDLY the result of boozer "eating yao alive".

btw, how is this thread already the size of the game thread hahaha thats insane
