yes yao played better than any other in utah. but he was not even close to dominating a game or even a stretch of the game. the blame was deservedly on tmac.

but yao is 7'6 and is shooting a guard's like % of 40%. that is unacceptable no matter how u slice it. we can't afford for yao to shoot like tmac when he's a big man. what's the point of having yao if he's gonna have a tmac-like shooting night ever game?

Yao is not fast enough to cover Boozer. Not his fault. If Boozer hits those hihg arching jumpers then that's that.

It's the alley-oops that Yao needs to stop. Man it's ugly.

On the offensive end. It's ugly too. Yao miss too many shots and has ball stripe too many times.

Is this Hangover guy the same poster who spewed racist garbage in GARM in the beginning of the season?

How come he is back alive?

Yao didn't play well tonight, he look bad against Boozer because of the bad
match up, no one is denying that. Rockets needs some changes on the way
they guard Boozer. But you are just being moronic if you think Yao was
    our worse player tonight.

it's sad that we have more problems covering boozer than utah has problems covering yao.

the big men in this series have cancelled each other. it's on tmac now. if he plays like tonight, we have a chance in utah. if not, it goes back to game 7 where tmac has not fared well at all.

Exactly. Because he claims numbers don't tell the story and he's right. Because the story is: McGrady had a break through game, Yao and another double-double, Yao hit game winning FTs, Rockets pull within one win of the 2nd round and ending T-Mac's and Yao's first round frustrations.

I don't know what the hell you watched today? The guy played his heart out. Yes he missed some shots, how many rebounds he grabed? He had heavy load on the offense end, and also need to take the toughest defensive assignment. Last I check his stamina is not the best on the team.

You should be ashamed of yourself to trash him like that.

I really think fatigue has a lot to do with his poor defense in 4th quarter.

Rebound is the key. I guess no one normally trades 5 rebounds for 5 points.

Quote me one time where I mentioned stats. There's a reason why you criticize a team after a win and it's because we were lucky to do so. If we play like this twice more, we'll lose the series. In the greater scheme of things, we will go nowhere if Yao continues to play D like this. He is our weak link out there. Who cares if we win a 1st round series?

    So, suggestion to JVG:
Let's take Yao out for the Game 6, to see how things turn up? ;)

I am not going to put it all on Yao, he is too slow to guard Boozer, would like to see you beat Calvin Johnson in a 40. Putting Yao out on the perimeter to guard Okur is not an answer either, takes him out of the paint to defend the dribble penetration and gives you one less guy to rebound.

JVG has to make some adjustment against Boozer, give Yao help, go with a 2-3 zone, play a combo of Juwan and Chuck for more minutes, flash a defender to make Boozer pick up his dribble forcing him to pass. Key is to try different looks stopping Boozer.

Basically Yao was a glorified Juwan Howard until the Rox needed to put the game away where he stepped up large and knocked down two free throws.

It seems as though Yao use to be a clutch player when he would get 15pts per game now that he has MVP type numbers he has some choke moments in the end of games except at the line where he still stone cold killer.

It's JVG fault for letting Yao guard Boozer. He has to player Okur not Boozer. Boozer's shot has such a high arch that it is perfect for playing agianst taller centers.

Yes. Why are the majority of posts directed at me written in poor English? Because they come from Asian Yao homers and not actual Rockets' fans. If that's racist, so be it. But it's true.

Hey how can you ask a 7'6 guy to guard a PF with faster moves.
And I cant see Loozer dominated Yao in this game according to the score box.
