Let put it in this way. Yao did not play well, but the Rox is leading. If somehow Yao is able to play one great game, the Rox will likely win the series. Does this make everyone happy? I think so.
If the players start hitting their shots when Yao is being double this will help in getting Yao going on the offensive end. The Jazz will have to be force to stop doubling Yao and Yao will have a field day. I am sure Thursday will bring forth a different Yao, one that will finally dominate at the rate he was pre-injury style.
It's funny to say yao was dominated by Boozer, trade yao then, it is not bad for Yao. Trading Yao for Okur means Jazz will have the frist championship, very simple. Yao+Boozer+Deron+AK+Harpring=Best 5 units in the league.
why would u ever wana trade yao come on grow up 1 game people wana trade another game people call him the most dominant big man **** happens
Yao needs to defend Boozer the way Shane does to jumpshooters: Instead of trying to block the player's SHOT, block the player's VIEW. Everyone goes for the ball, but you rarely get blocks out on the perimeter. It's much easier to just put your hand in their eyes. Shane's a genius. Defend like Shane.
It is human being's nature to shed when a hand comes quickly close his/her eyes, so it is always a good choice to block somebody's face instead of the ball.
Let TMAC guard Boozer, I bet Boozer will get 30 points a game, and Rockets will have no chance to win even one game against Jzaa. Then you define TMAC a role player? Please look at Yao's productivity in this series before you draw the conclusion. Yes, Yao played badly, especially against Boozer, but he still contributed for the team as much as he can. Do you agree? If you were a man, please reply this directly before you draw ur conclusion on Yao. I like Yao, just because he did everything good for the team in his best.
It was me that called Yao a "role player". I personally think he's a superstar. I said other people on the forum treat him like a role player because he can play terrible and somehow escape the blame. If he plays crappy, I will criticize him because I think he's a superstar like T-Mac and should be held to a higher standard.
This thread makes no sense. You would expect a guy seven inches shorter and much quicker to get past the slower defender and be able to score. Look at Yao on the offensive end, he can ge his shots off at will over Boozer he just isn't making many of them. The Jazz also are doubling Yao and sending help every time Yao puts the ball on the floor. The next thread from this guy should be titled Rafer can't guard Deron one on one. Obvious
this is useless against a decent jump shooter, esp. in the NBA. Boozer is more than decent. i'd go for the ball
I expect the Jazz to have to respect Rafer, Shane, Luther, and Juwan a bit more tonight, which should give yao some room. If Yao gets just a little more time/room and some better help on D, I expect he is itching to take advantage. If that happens, and I think it will, Boozer's offense will suffer, and in my opinion the game is likely ours for the taking, and all Boozer will be dominating is a frozen drink on vacation for the summer. GO ROCKETS!
And the level of effeminate whining on Clutchfans from socially inept YOFs would decrease by 23900%, according to my estimates. Huh. There's a brightside to everything.
You failed to take into account that Boozer would have to guard TMAC on the other hand. Which is no easy task
I think that Yao has not completely recovered from his knee injury. He should not go back to China this summer and should have a good rest instead. Then his game will be on another level once he gets back on court in the fall.
