Not sure if it'd count as a biography or just straight non-fiction, but John Feinstein's The Last Amateurs is the best basketball book I've ever read and trails The Boys of Summer as my favorite sports book of all-time.

Anything by Dan Brown. (I'm still waiting for his next book to come out!)

Anything by Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez (this doesn't apply if you're a guy)

Other than those, just random books that I pick out of the book aisles.

The library was my fave place to visit when I was a kid.

I haven't had time lately to read books or magazines... :(

Not really a book for everyone, but I just bought "The Dangerous Book For Boys" for my son's first birthday. He won't be able to use it for awhile, but I've been reading it and it's pretty cool. It covers a lot of things like how to tie knots, make the best paper airplane, set tripwires, pirate flags and famous battles.

You know ,on The Dark Tower,I waited after reading the "Gunslinger" about 20 something years ago and didn't pick up the series again until last year.
Now I read it in between everything else..I agree, really good stuff and it's nice having all those fresh SK books just sitting there.

Have any of you all read William Burroughs or any of Hunter Thompson's stuff?.....check them out too.

Goosebumps made choose your own adventure books?

Back when I read them (4th & 5th grade many many years ago) they were just simple childrens scary stories.

    WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH.

He's right. If you haven't read them. Start f***ing reading them. They're amazing. And just understand they get older and cooler from books 4-7, and 7 is pure bliss.

Your right....So many of the films these days cater to kids or utiliize heavy special effects. The great scripts,perfomances,etc....are sadly much rarer.
They seem to go for more singles and doubles..all about the jack.
