I took no offense, FFB. Telephone road was always a rough area in my youth. That's what made it fun. We weren't cruising the Sonic for burgers.

Bandido's, icehouses, prostitutes, dealer's, badass cops, it's a wonder we survived. As teens, we bought cigarettes, booze, and other sordid sundries with impunity.

We then headed to Bellaire to kick preppy ass.

Telephone road would chew you up and spit you out.

That would be the one........I ate many of those po-boys in my youth. I loved 'em! Who knows.....maybe they weren't that good (or maybe they were), but as a youngster, that was one of my biggest treats.

That place was awesome. I wondered about it's demise the last time I was down in the Garden Villas area.

My best friend's mom still lives within a block of the old grade school. I drive down to visit whenever he makes it back to Texas to see her.

Look who's talking... the guy who took a shot at me through my handicapped kid just because he was losing an argument.

Garden Villas actually has some very nice homes. I drove through there yesterday afternoon. Telephone Road isn't the greatest road to drive down these days but it's not as rough as it once was either. A lot of the crime areas have been cleaned up. The cops have done a good job there in the last 5 years or so.
