I'm coming upon some time off and am looking for a book to read. I can assume that from reading posts in here that most of you are well educated. All the Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy is excellent. It's being made into a movie soon. The Scarlet Letter is also an excellent read. ------------------

The first suggestion, The Age of Reason, is something that I'd consider because I've read some interesting excerpts from it. To answer your question, Jeff, I'd rather not read about politics.
