I'm not saying he deserves a lot of leeway here. But this reminds me of the fresh prince episode where will wants to be a writer, so he goes to leno's house and takes a picture of leno dumping coffee on the ground/grass and the publication takes the picture and calls it oil and pollution. So will goes on leno's show and apologizes.

I mean, I don't think bowling is good for his back either, but I'm not privy to the doctors orders telling him what to do/not to do. And I know it will blow up, especially because of the escapades with Bonzi earlier this year.

A little speculation is not a bad thing, like if someone gets a scoop on a trade ,but to just assume he is doing something blatantly against doctors orders for the sake of doing so, is treading down a bad path in the future as far as threads like this go.

And if it does come out that he is breaking doctors orders/jeopardizing his status with the team, then by all means, flame away on him.

Last time, the "gossip crap" was dead on. There was a feud between JVG and Bonzi behind the scenes just as many of us said.

If any of us were on paid leave from work because of a bad back, we'd be in deep **** with our employers if they saw us out bowling. Don't act like Bonzi doesn't have a history of being a jackass malcontent.

Umm, does anyone else notice that Bonzi's injury situation seems to coincide with McGrady's return?

And how Bonzi's finally getting a chance to play and contribute, his apparent WILLINGNESS to play and contribute coincided nicely with TMac's injury?

I'm not saying this is deliberate, I am just making an observation. I can't honestly think of any reason why Bonzi would purposefully fabricate an injury in such a situation.. but..

The conspiracy theorist might say that TMac's rather abrupt return and subsequent sparkling play will somehow hurt Bonzi's shot at his big payday.. iow, Bonzi suddenly seemed a lot more willing to be a 'team guy' and get himself on the court once it appeared that TMac's season might be going the route of last year. So he figures, 'Ok, here's the chance I was waiting for - TMac's gone, so now I can get out there and really turn some heads the rest of the season.' But somehow some amazing voodoo juju was performed on Mac's Back, and all of a sudden, Bonzi's plans and hopes of being THE STAR for this team the rest of the way are dashed. So suddenly he's got a bad back, and can't play. But he's ok for bowling and late-nite snacking at House of Bi's (or House of Guys, depending on which cheeky vernacular you hear from time to time).

Again, I am not accusing Bonzi of anything, this is purely speculation. But it sure smells fishy, and, given what we already know of Bonzi both from his previous history as well as what we have learned from his brief stay here so far, is it really all that crazy a notion? I certainly hope that none of this is true, and that he has just been having a run of bad luck and questionable judgement, and everything ends up well in the end.

I am sorry, but geez, this is getting to be like an itch that you can't scratch. This team has been playing so well lately, it just frustrates the heck out of me, imagining what it could be like with a healthy Yao, Bonzi and Snyder all back into the mix as well. This team could be scary good.

Bowling and eating pie, Bonzi needs to get his gangs-ter moniker back asap. The rest of league is going to tease us once they find this out.

Well, if your job consists of a couple of games per week and practices between them, and the rest of the time is for you to do anything you want, I guess he can go off to play bowling too. Besides, the Rockets gave him 1-2 weeks of rest, and with two days remaining of those two weeks, I'm guessing the Rockets are resting him until the two weeks are up, leaving Bonzi to do whatever he wants.

If he can't even show up to the game and sit on the bench, I doubt he needs to be bowling.... Geez don't be so naive.

No...those are NOT the girls he was bowling with. They are with my friends and saw a celeb so they asked to take a pic with him. He came with other girls.

Some of you people are impossible to please. If I started this thread with no pics, people will be asking for them. I provide a pic and it is still not good enough. Geez, just because some people don't want their identity revealed.

I want to mention at this time that as a regular bowler, I can tell you with absolute certainty that it is possible to bowl without putting stress on one's back.

I throw a wide hook and as such it *is* stressful to my back, but for someone who just throws a regular straight ball, it is actually LESS stressful to the back than sex

besides, if he went to see Patterson in Waco as was reported here.....he could be feeling much better...just look how quickly Tmac came back painfree after his visit.

and btw...Im firmly in DV's camp here...alot of yall love to blow stuff out of proportion.....its become alot worse since we reopened registration in the summer.
