How do you spell relief? B-O-N-Z-I. Rockets fall 90-84 to T-Wolves.
There are gonna be nights when Yao is swarmed like Gulliver from start to finish. There are gonna be nights when T-Mac doesn't want to get his hair messed by driving into the lane.

What to do? What to do?

    What's a double-team?

As the active roster is currently constructed, all the Rockets can do is resort to having a 3-point-apalooza. Guess what? They don't always go in.

The reason the Rockets signed Bonzi Wells was to have a third option as a big-time scorer, to have a player who would go down onto the low block and post people up, to have a player who would look at 10-for-40 by Yao and T-Mac and say, "OK, it's my night."

It's time to end "Jeff's Last Stand." Time for Mr. Happy to stop indulging his inner grumpiness.

It's time for the Rockets to gas up a heavily reinforced cargo plane, wheel an out-of-shape Bonzi up the ramp and let him start jiggling that derriere off in Charlotte on Friday night.

He's not an MVP candidate. He's not the lead horse you want pulling your wagon every night. He's not going to be without his problems even when he is playing.

But he is better than a wing and a 3-point prayer.

I agree with him though. Artest is just plain crazy. Like Gilbert Arenas crazy x 10 or something.

But Bonzi just thinks he's gangsta and above all else. That's not crazy, that's having a bad attitude. Artest and Arenas, they're crazy, but they have a good work attitude, and that's what separates Bonzi from the likes of them.

I doubt there will be anyone--ANYONE--that wants to trade for Bonzi right now. Maybe near the deadline but not right now.

    1. If these "rumors" and "reports" are true that he has a screw loose and is, in fact, some much overweight, then no one wants to touch this cancer for an extended period of time. Some playoff-contention team might be desperate in January and February but that's about it.

    2. Why trade for Bonzi when teams can just decline any trade offers and wait for the Rockets to waive him? They won't have to lose any players, take on any big contracts, AND probably just rent him for the year.

The problem with all these trade scenarios is that we're trying to trade away who Bonzi was talentwise rather than what's he been doing right now (which is jacksh!t). I'd flip him for a 2nd rounder if I could. Sure that's not going to bring immediate help to the Rockets, but it's better than having a hole burning in the back of your neck everytime the word "Bonzi" is mentioned.

And if Luffy1 wants his boy to play so bad, Luffy needs to get up off the jock and make him work out. I have never seen so much defense for a player that has done literally NOTHING all season.

I've poked around on this and there's nothing definite, but this is rumored to be bad information, so I'm going to close this down for now.
