Again, I mention Patrick O'Bryant. He's the best prospect in a big rookie, and Nellie will have no use for him.

Concur in spades, but I don't think Nellie would trade him.

    Heck, I'd do it.

Chuck Hayes + Griff would be a nice combo of athletic front line players who know how to use their hands effectively.

    no doubt.

most likely the trade worth waiting for will be a multiple player deal... bonzi's salary will most likely not match a fair trade in return unless it is a YOUNG player. and we can't on a team being stupid enough to send away a young player for a 1 year rental.

as much as everyone wants to ship out jho in a deal, i gotta say i've been impressed with his willingness to be ready to play. he's played well in limited time (funny huh?). he has been a great professional throuhg all of this.

too bad snyder is injured... him being in the rotation gives the rockets a few more options on the trade front. and i'd hate to see luther go.

all in all i am comforted by the rockets good start WITHOUT bonzi, otherwise i might be freakin out a bit.

They're both pretty good at grabbing loose balls as well. I wish they could improve their aim though. Additionally, their mid range shooting isn't good enough to make up for their inability to drive.

I wonder if Morey's relationship with the Celtics could work out for us. Ainge has been as active on the trade front the last few years as anybody. And Pierce has talked a lot about needing some veterans to balance out their young guys.

I'd love to get our hands on Ryan Gomes. Maybe Bonzi for Gomes and filler. That would give them a third scoring option behind Pierce and Wally. And that division is so awful that Bonzi could help them into the playoffs. And Gomes has long arms, got some decent athleticism, and can play both forward positions.

right on. and he's the GM/coach so he'll have the power to do it.

I looked at Channing Frye's stats and they are down this year. Maybe we trade for him straight up.

I am skeptical as well, he would be giving up a promising young center for a 1/2 year rental. I think Nellie knows Bonzi would not put the Warriors over the top, especially in the WC. Even with a 100% Bonzi, they would just be fighting for the 8 seed in the playoffs. I'm not sure you give up a talented young big for the chance at the 8 spot and a first round exit against the Mavs...

Could have used bonzi. This team has no 3rd scorer when tmac/yao are off!

FINALLY I agree with you. Though you really need to factor in the fact that he is a proven clubhouse cancer, albeit one with talent

    LOL!

Actually, the 'third scorer' did step up tonight (Luther), but the first and second scorers called his bluff and pulled a disappearing act.

    Irony is a biatch! :D

not saying gsw would want bonzi but disagree on what i think their priorities are. they haven't made the playoffs in 12 years straight. if a trade guaranteed a playoff berth i think they would take it.

Luther was kinda the 3rd scorer but he gets most of his points off of double teams or the attention that Yao and TMac get. Granted, he's a helluva shooter, but what Bonzi brings to the table is someone who can get his own shot. The Mavs and Spurs each have at least 3 players that can get their own shot compared to our two. Against SA's defense we need another player who can take it to them the way Bonzi took it to Bowen and Manu in the playoffs. I hate to say it, but I think we really need Bonzi or someone like Bonzi to make a deep run in the playoffs.
Plus, Wells is a very good offensive rebounder. When we go into our routine dry spells, it's important to have someone that can put back some of those misses.

Do the rockets still have that trade exception?? If so, i believe it was for over 4 mill, bonzi's 2.1 + trade exception (4 mil or so) could get us a nice player.

As many poster this summer have repeatedly stated, the TE cannot be packaged with a player. Still, who knows who will drop into our laps next season for 4.2 million?

That ezekiel site was the same site that had the "12 player team deal" or whatever last year to try and gain some hits. So credibility, LOST. Of course it doesn't mean that Bonzi isn't done with the Rockets, it just means the guy who posted that, doesn't have any sources, whatnot.

Hey why don't we get to put cool little pictures next to our names?

Wow one guy said that there was more concern for Bonzi's state of mind than Artest's, now that's saying something.
