They were just talking about Bonzi on 610, and John and Lance said they had confirmation from a good source that Bonzi is done as a Rocket. I think Richard Justice was there, and he agreed.

Dang, it looks like we really won't have the 3rd scorer option. We better get someone else decent, or else we won't have enough for the playoff.

Thats really sucks, the rockets are going to need a 3rd option against teams like the Spurs, Mavericks and Suns come playoff time. Yao and T-Mac are going to have to play out of their minds to get out of the west. Bonzi in my opinion would have thrown them over the top. Hope they can package him with somebody for some immediate help.

Other than (very original) "ha ha isiah will trade for anybody!" punchlines ...........why in god's name would he be traded to NY?

They have Quentin Richardson as the primary, and Jared Jeffries, Renaldo Balkman and Jamal Crawford all able to get minutes at the SF spot.

There's no room for Bonzi there at all.

That's extremely disappointing! I wonder if we'll ever hear the real reason why Bonzi didn't play. He could have been a huge asset to this team, I guess some things weren't meant to be. I would love to have a talk with him, I bet it's like talking to some middle school kids I coached. If he wasn't so talented, I'd be fine, but I really thought he'd put us over the top. I'm very glad JVG stuck to his guns, it sets a very good standard for the rest of the team and can only help in the long run.

I think its time to "sell high" with Head now, maybe a package deal involving him and Bonzi for our 3rd scorer would get the job done.

Similiar to what we did with Gay and Swift for Battier, we had to make a package deal in order to "get rid of" Swift...

It's no secret that the 2 most shopped Rockets this offseason were Head and JH, I'd put a lot of money on the assumtion that one, or both, will be gone come February...

The way Head is playing now, I want to keep him. I didn't feel that way before the season started. Thought he was going in trade for sure. The guy has improved a LOT, and is only in his second year. Hey, if Howard keeps rebounding like he is, a team desperate for a PF might work out a deal involving him. I wouldn't have said that 3 or 4 games ago, lol!

....considering that Head has been the second best guard on the team, easily - and at times the only semblance of a perimeter threat on one of McGrady's too many off nights, and that Rafer is awful, Snyder is hurt, and Spanoulis is simply not ready - I don't think he's going anywhere soon.

Second, who said that Head was "most shopped"? The BBS? RealGM tradechecker?

Well, this is no surprise. It seems every season the Rockets get some guy who turns out to be a colossal bust so why would this trend change?

But yea I am disappointed because I was really hoping that Bonzi could be that 3rd scorer we desperately need behind TMac and Yao. Now, who knows who it will be. :(

It's too bad ... Bonzi had a real opportunity to be part of something big and win himself a ring. His knuckleheadedness just had to get in the way of all that.

I'm still holding out hope, though. It ain't over till it's over.

Looks like after January 2nd will know what the deal will be. I believe JHO and Bonzi will be in trade deal that will bring someone here to help the Rockets. I just don't know which team in the East will make a deal with Rockets and who would want to take a chance on Bonzi anymore.

If we go East, I would bet a Jerome James/Q. Rich deal could be worked for Howard/Bonzi. Would you do it? It's questionable for us. No brainer for NY.

what a disappointment! i blame nobody but bonzi on this, though.... you'd think reality would've set in for him and motivated him to bust his ass off (literally), but apparently the guy is just a selfish nut-job.

hope we can get something decent out of him...

my grandfather used to say "shopping for bargains is a waste of money."

when the rockets decide to stop signing the charlie wards, jimmy jacksons, derek andersons, and bob suras of the NBA (all of which only managed one season in the rotation, if that), then we might not have so much roster turnover.

mike james wasa smart choice that didn't work out. you know what your getting, he's been here before. billy was a smart backup plan. you know he can play and grow with the team.

I work down with the Rockets at Toyota Center in Retail and sometimes I talk to a few of the players at practice. However, I never ask them about anything like trades or feelings toward other players. But I did hear the buzz in the locker room yesterday, and it was about Houston shipping out Bonzi, as for trades, hell no I would not give up Head, he's the most consistent 3 pt. shooter we got (u should see his work ethic in practice). As a matter of fact, I think our team is perfectly fine right now so why tamper with it? Each player brings something to the table. I think it would be smart to package the guy that hasn't had any effect on the team and could be a hot commodity on the market with his potential, yea we love him but Novak should leave, if anyone.

Heh...I think there would be a ClutchFans riot if Novak were to be traded. :)

let's just be glad it didn't turn out too bad... it doesn't look like he will affect our chemistry if he's gone... (however thursday nights at the club won't be the same)

I definitely would send out Head or Novak ... unless there is some trade that doesn't include Tmac/Yao and Houston ends up with KG.

No brainer as in you'd have to have no brain to think they'd do it.

Richardson has been their best perimeter player this year by far. They wouldn't trade him for a fat malcontent like Wells and add more poison to their well.
