Not me. I've never said once that snyder should be playing ahead of Bonzi.

Have you watched him AT ALL this season. Bonzi demands the ball then backs down his man and then does a spin move to the basket. He rarely passes the ball back out.

The "Kings system" is ancient history now.

Snyder gets his points in the flow of the offense and he hustles his arse off. Given that we know we'll have Snyder for a couple years and Bonzi is as good as gone, I'm perfectly fine putting Snyder ahead of Bonzi.

if true I dont like it at all... As for the Swift comparison.... Swift was a fouling machine... bonzi is not doing that.... also bonzi has proven before to be more than just potential, somethin that Swift has never done. I think this is a very bad move.... be a better coach and give him some PT..... enough said, however I think snyder is underrated and deserves time too.

well at least when we trade him we could get someone to help us instead of someone useless! I hope Battier picks up his game offensively, he can be our third scorer! and it looks like Jho is turning out to be our 6th man!!!

Bonzi seemed a step slow in almost every game this season. I was so excited when we signed him, but he hasn't fulfilled any of his promise. I don't like Snyder much, but he's outplayed Bonzi thus far. We're sixty-five games into the season. At this point, we should let the best performers play.

And I don't blame JVG for this one bit. Bonzi's had issues on two other teams and was only a model citizen for a contract year. He's not going to garner much interest this offseason, he didn't garner any last offseason, and kings fans don't miss him at all. There's a reason for that and it's not because JVG is holding him back.

I would think the JVG haters would be thrilled. It looks like he's decided to develop the younger player (Snyder) who will actually be here next year.

In all seriousness, I hope nobody was thinking back in November that the Rockets were actually going to have a 12-man rotation.

I'm not really surprised, I was saying back in December he would be gone by January...he just doesn't fit JVG and the system we play

what I feel bad about is that he "risked" his career to play for the Rox and at the end he will loose a lot

Bonzi is our secret weapon to be unleashed on the unknowing Jazz come playoff time. He will average 16 PPG and 12 RPG.

bonzi's been real slow. i think he's still effective, but as others have pointed out, he takes the ball out of two far superior player's hands to be any good.

right now snyder does everything better than bonzi except post-up.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Bonzi play for Rick Adelman last year in Sacramento, not Eric Musselman?

Luckily for me I have found a way to distance myself from this team to the point nothing shock, hurts or surprises me anymore.

Whatever happens, it is JVG's butt on the line - he can rot away for all I care. His antics has has gone sour on me.

Patience, is like right though - last year's team was Adelman's IIRC. Notwithstanding, the premise is a fair one.

So you wait until a year when the team is successful to distance yourself? Strange...

Personally, after suffering through years of 42 win seasons, I am happy to see a team that has a chance to win in the playoffs. If you want to let personal dislikes ruin your enjoyment of some good basketball, I guess its your prerogative.

Bonzi does "fit" any system because he's too fat and slow. His stumbling bumbling play has been a huge disappointment.

He also didn't "risk" anything by coming here. His only risk was the stupid gamble to turn down $38MM guaranteed from the Kings last summer. That isn't anyone's fault but his own. Apparently he's had a mental hangover ever since and will probably never revert back to any semblance of his former self.

i think vg will play bonzi eventually b4 the playoff. now the priority is to get yao bac to the rotation and maintain consistency. vg knows wat bonzi can brings to this team especially this is his last chance to raise his values b4 the offseason. bonzi hasn't really played w/ yao n tmac together yet, definitely they need to play more games 2gether b4 the playoff. as the playoff is approaching n we pretty much set for the 5th of west, all starters will get more rest, meaning the rotations will be expanded, tatz logical. i dont care vg's emphasis on his 8-9 man rotation, i ll be really disappointed if i see all our starter's playing 40min plus for all those meaningless victories.

i really like kirk synder, i was the one who agreed to trade bonzi b4 the trade deadline buz i think synder is just another duplication of bonzi wells, in terms of physical, technical and style. buh kirk is inconsistant rite now, his basketball iq is not near bonzi at all, even thou he is turnover prone 2. buh still, i stil believe bonzi wil be the one of keys for our success in playoff.

Valid point... but Head and Battier only combine for about 4 made threes a game. Ridnour and Snyder could easily return half of that, and they are both (as well as Wilcox) more aggressive than both Head and Battier at getting to the rim, and would more than likely show more than enough production to overcome that three point deficit. What we lack in ability to get to the basket now is much worse than what we would lack at the three point line with that line-up, what Head lacks everywhere outside of shooting is much worse than what Ridnour lacks at the three point line, and what we lose in Battier's replacements isn't near what we get in Wilcox, imo. But I suppose if 3-pt shooting is a must, we could always throw in Howard and Bonzi for Rashard. My dream world, remember ;)
Not particularly... the only place we lose shooting is at the three, where we are currently ranked 6th in the NBA as a team with only 37.6%. Luke is shooting at a 36.7% clip this season, and Kirk is a career 34.4% 3pt-shooter (only taken 27 this year, so didn't use his percentage for this season). Sure, its a downgrade, but would likely put us in the 35%-ish range, which is right at the middle of the NBA. Nothing great, but certainly not horrible. Elsewhere, we would be adding a 52.4% shooter in Wilcox and 44.7% shooter in Ridnour in place of 44.8% Shane and 42.6% Luther... so our overall shooting would be better.

If he's really done, can we change the thread title to "Bonzi is fat?"

The most important stat concerning Bonzi is

2 wins against Spurs when Bonzi plays

2 losses agsinst Spurs when Bonzi doesn't play

JVG is tough on the free agents...he didn't like Stro and puts Bonzi in his doghouse constantly...
