That said, "blatant JVG-love" aside, I really hoped Bonzi was going to contribute...something playoffs-wise. 12/6 would've been great, nevermind the 24ish/8ish whatever Bonzi gotish in that Spurs series.

    This sucks.

    But that's life.

    ...Still sucks though.

I am so happy to hear that. Bonzi out of rotation will increase the chance of the Rockets' 1st round playoff exit. Get it done Jeff. Get your ass out of here. I think at least many fans will cheer for that.

Ehem, just as I predicted earlier this year... :D

He just did not fit on this Rockets team.

I wish him luck but glad that JVG has switched to the more athletic Snyder, the Rockets need that athleticism if they are going to go anywhere in the playoffs.

Well, I'm still holding out hope that Bonzi will be a contributor before it's all said and done.

On the other hand, if this report is true, then I wish they would have figured this out before the trade deadline when we probably could've gotten a decent role player for him. 20/20 hindsight, i guess.

look at the good teams.. they got Barbosa/Stackhouse/Ginobuli coming from the bench to provide instant scoring. and Bonzi is that guy for us.

Doesn't everybody just love when these "fans" root against their own team? Disgraceful.

Fatzi a defensive stopper? Yeah right. He's never been that good of a defensive player, though a few years ago he had the athleticism to be one. Now, he can't keep up with anybody. Any player on the Mavs or Suns would either leave him in the dust or post him up. Snyder can keep up with nearly anyone and guard taller players.

the nod I give to Snyder in the Stro comparison is that he seems to make a few intuitive plays a game along with his bonehead plays. Sto just dunked and made bad decisions. I think VG holds hope that he can turn Snyder into a smarter player. (which is why I think he played so tentatively against the clips)

Screw Bonzi. He was gonna leave this summer anway. I like Snyder and I don't mind at all giving Snyder the PT. Bonzi demands the ball and only gets shots for himself. Snyder plays within the flow of the game a little better and I think Snyder is better defensively, particularly against up-tempo.

    Good riddence, Bonzi.

I wish you could of helped but don't let the door hit ya.

FA should think really hard before coming to Houston.

It took Snyder forever to return to the rotation after he fell out of the bottom of it due to injury. It's how Jeff is. If they didn't have any intention of playing Wells he would have been dealt for a second rounder at the deadline. It may take him a little while but there is no way a Bonzi Wells doesn't break back into the rotation considering how mediocre our bench is.

JVG is a lot of things but he is not suicidal.

Exactly...I didn't want us to trade him because he was in the rotation. There were people on this board who were complaining about Snyder losing his job due to injury. Isn’t the same thing happening to Wells?

Bonzi's 27 points against the Celtics showed me that we can rely on him, with Yao and Mac on the bench. Hopefully, this will make Bonzi bust his butt so he can win back the spot.

I dont like this at all. Bonzi Wells is a proven playoff player. He always plays grea tin the playoffs, and he was the guy that could put the rockets over the edge.

Naw, Yao and TMac are the ones that'll put us over the edge. If they don't play well, Bonzi is irrelevant.

I wonder if Bonzi feels worse about the contract he didn't sign ... or the one he did?

Bonzo left $38mm and then this season cost himself any redemptive contract.
