He was an enigma for the Kings during the regular season before and after Artest came. Outside shooting has never been his game, he has a decent mid-range game but he's most dangerous playing in the post where few SG/SF's can handle him and slashing to the basket. He was one of the few Kings who could attack the basket and play disruptive defense, which is why he won back his starting spot from Kevin Martin (who was having a great season with Bonzi out) when he came back from the IL. Still, his market value never was much more than the MLE, especially when you looked at the teams with cap space this offseason.

'We're discussing two deals right now" ... ? ... as in what, rumors on Boards, newspapers (links?), TV reporters, barroom talk? Details please.

PS why would you trade a 'big' when you only have 9 of them?

Nugs insider that posts on the board I check out. He's the one who mentioned the JR Smith deal and the Joe Smith deal (both of which I posted here).

We were going to go with a lineup of 14 PF's & C's along with Melo, but decided that that might not work.

    Can't work. You're only allowed 15 on a roster. :D

BTW - Najera as a Rock, with his particular talents -- and market 'niche' would be excellent. Rox shoulda SHOULDA swapped TE in June for him when it would have covered EN's salary.
