Sweet, I have two friends that play (well, I don't know if they get playing time) for Sam Houston.

    Go KATS!

Probably because he would have to sit out a year since UH is Div I-A and UH already has a proven QB that knows the system in Kolb.

Yeah, but Kolb will be going to the NFL next year, so sitting a year would have given him the job...Although, I'm sure its tough to sit out a year...

I've heard some have him rated as at 3rd or 4th rounder.

He's on the draft boards, he'll probably be drafted or at least get an FA shot with someone.

Kiper's got him as the 4th best QB overall.

I'd be surprised if he doesn't go first day.

Mel Kiper's word is as good as gold.

Peterson with the first pick overall....

and then KOLB in the THIRD ROUND.

    That sounds pretty fair.

Its interesting to think about what teams will be gunning for QBs this draft though..

Redskins (Brunell's brain is basically mush after concussion #1000.. and I don't think they're sold on Jason Campbell)
Chiefs (Green is getting up there in years, no proven successor)
    Raiders (god no)
Cowboys (Bledsoe is getting pretty old now too, no proven backup there either)
    Lions (Kitna, McCown.. hmm)
Packers (Favre's goose is cooked, need insurance in case Rogers isnt the guy)
Vikings (Oldest active QB in Johnson, who is backed up by.. Tavaris Jackson?)

Those teams are going to have some decent names to pick from out of Quinn, Smith, Leak, Stanton, Brohm, Kolb, etc.

well you can pretty much add Kolb to any of those teams and he will be just another unproven guy!!!!! LOL

Kolb will be picked, but I think it'll be as a 2nd, but it depends on how well he does the rest of the season...If we were able to pick up Ragone and BJ, why not Kolb...

Troy Smith stock may not be so high b/c of his height.
I think he stands 6'0-6'1, but he has cannon of an arm.
    Just ask UT.

Kevin Kolb has the height, arm, & athleticism but lacks the household name popularity some.
