If what you say is true, we're screwed!

You have to put aside all that favoritism crap and start playing as a team, or we'll never win a title.

are the coaching staff and upper management so totally alienated from each other that the one would draft a player (Boki), and the other think him so lacking that he never got a chance to play. If so then this club is in even more trouble than I thought. Heaven help us!!!

So unless the rockets get rid of someone the same situation will happen next year too many SFs(Rice, Posey, Boki, TMo) and not enough playing time to go around. If turns out to be as good as alot of people say(and not another Dan Langhi), why not let Posy walk?

I agree he is a hustle player, a scrapper, but does not have the skills to be a frontline guy, that's all I'm saying... back up on a mediocre team. would Dallas replace Najera with TMo? No. I'm all for supporting the Rockets' players, just being objective here. At 6'9", he's got length, but he doesn't move well enough or have the shooting skills to be a 3 or have the bulk to play the 4 or a consistent basis. He's a backup, tweener, a matchup-type player. The mechanics on his jumpshot do not instill confidence. Not as bad as EG, but still off. He did shoot a nice % overall last season... I'd like to see what he'd do with some consistent playing time... prove me wrong.

Ok that is the single stupidest thing I have heard. So is there a reason why Steve singled out Boki as a player he refused to pass to? Or is it just because Steve doesn't like young foreigners? Why do I still come to GARM?

I couldn't tell you why Steve looked off Boki everytime he was open, but the facts are facts, he didn't pass him the ball. Its an observation that cannot be denied. So if you are Rudy you're really left with only one choice and that is to bench the guy beacause he's out there for his offensive game and if the Franchise is not going to utilize him out there for whatever reasons.. lack of trust, unfamilarity, favoritism, or whatever.. the coach doesnt have time to wait for all that stuff to grow on Francis so he benches the rook and plays the vets who Francis won't shake off so easily. The
observations of Francis unwillingness and hesistation to pass the ball to the rook in those first few games is undeniable, so knowing that, and seeing Boki mysterious benching soon after, what other plausiable theory is out there besides the one that says Boki was benched in favor of the vets because of Francis utter disregard for Boki? You dont actually believe the lies that Boki had a year long groin injury do you?

Why do you still come to GARM? I dont know why do you? go back to the BBS hangout and sip your tea and go get in heated political discussion,,,you know the ones that give that inflate your ego to the point where you think your too good to come to the Rockets forum and talk basketball now because you sip tea in the BBS hangout and talk about real issues. Go back home to the BBS hangout where you belong! you damn Hangout boy!

    Texas Stoke,

I wonder if Francis and Boki had a shooting contest (during practice), and Boki won.

I wonder how Francis would take it?

Would Francis have a chip on his shoulder against Boki for "showing him up in front of his homies?" Or would Francis show some maturity and welcome Boki to the team?

I don't know if Steve purposefully ignored Boki to get TMo more minutes. That's a pretty serious charge there.

But the fact that Yao Ming struggled mightily to get the ball consistently in the right places from the guards makes me wonder how difficult it was for Boki. Hell, Rice had to go the MEDIA to get Francis to pass him the ball!

Boki probably didn't have good chemistry with Steve, so Rudy decided to let him develop on the bench more.

How dare you? Robbie380, while a respected and well-liked poster in the Hangout Forum, is not the Hangout Boy.

Ok well whenever I watched Boki it never looked like he was doing much to get open in the first place. He didn't look quick enough to get by his man and get open either. He looked even worse on defense to make his chances at playing time even more limited. I am also going to guess that if Boki was ready enough to play then Rudy would have started working him more into the offense like he did with Yao. The bottom line is Boki did not look ready to play before and after his long benching. Also, I do feel that his hernia/groin injury effected him this season conditioning-wise. I don't think there was a conspiracy to keep a player out of the lineup as you feel. I don't know why there would a conspiracy to keep a player out of the lineup who was ready to contribute. Does it make much sense to keep a player out of the lineup? Not really.

Francis' unwillingness to pass to Boki is not the reason why a player would get benched. There are other things than scoring out there and Boki wasn't doing those things either. Boki was benched in favor of vets because he just didn't play good. If he was rebounding or playing defense or cutting or being extremely active and noticable on the floor then maybe he would have got more playing time, but when I watched him he was none of those.

No I don't come to the GARM forum as much anymore because there are so many insane discussions of the same thing over and over again. Lets trade Rice, Cato, EG and Moochie for KG or lets do a 4 way deal that will never work and has no basis in reality or there is a conspiracy to keep Boki benched. I don't post in the Debate forum that much anymore because its generally the same stuff about how evil Bush is or how evil liberals are.

I know there isn't a lot to talk about right now since it's the offseason, but come on...there is no conspiracy by the man to hold down Boki.

And one more thing...a cup of tea does sound nice right about now. I think I am going to make me a nice big glass of Earl Grey right now!;)
