Da and I will be sure to start the V-Span thread just like this one when he is lighting it up for another team proving JVG and all his apologists wrong.

EVERY player like this that JVG tosse aside because he is "young" a "Euro not named Dirk" as he himself put it such players he "hates" it puts the Rockets that much further from winning it all.

Real fans do not praise and applaud such moves.

Mmm, I can just imagine the way that thread will start.

Boki didn't fit in the Rockets system (JVG), under NJ, BOKI can run and shoot at will. Also, they only have one real scorer, Vince Carter. (Jefferson is hurt, and Kidd can't shoot).

    The REAL HYPOTHETICAL QUESTION IS:
What if BOKI WAS ON THE SUNS!!

    Sam,

How does that pertain to the Boki thread?

I do give you credit for coming in here at least, and representing. Basically admitting you were wrong.

As I had to do about Langhi......good on ya !

Wait, you are saying a 6'9" guy who can shoot the 3 ball, and slash to the hole would not work in this system?

Imagine if Boki were backing up Tmac and Battier.....we would be a lot stronger team.

Boki could be doing this in Houston. JVG traded him because of an ego dispute....and it took Boki some time to recover.

If anything it proves the point that JVG does not exactly excel at developing players, which ultimatly hurts the team in the long run.

And if Boki was on the Suns, he would be doing VERY well.....just like Boris Diaw did his first year.....Nash makes everyone better.....

Hey, just play V-Span and watch.....how much better everyone shoots of his completed passes.

    :D

I kinda agree with you here, based on the fact that Rox fans are jumping up and down in the other thread celebrating that the deal between Mike james and Chunk Hayes doesn't happen.

No Battier when BOKI was around.

    I'm wrong...for now.

tinman if he was on the suns he wouldn't get any PT because of defensive weakness and the fact taht they have the shortest rotation in the league.

Fortunately that is not an issue on the Nets who don't seem to care much about defense as a general philosophy.

If defense was really all that important to JVG, then Bonzi or Luther would never see the court.....ever.

Wait you actually thought Air Langhi was going to be good...................

That's even worse than all the people here that wanted Casey (I am a scrub) Jacobsen to make the team.

Sorry Da but damn Langhi was complete trash.

Yeah but I can see the silver lingin on that one.

Mike James isn't worth the full MLE plus 8% and he's a chemistry risk.

However I totally agree with you some people in that thread were saying Hayes was better than James.

Chuck Hayes is lucky he's even in the NBA, it's just like Lucas is lucky to even be in the NBA, Rockets fans Hayes > James, Lucas > Spanoulis.

I say it over and over the JVG kool aid is out of control.

But look eventually the kool aid wore off and fans had enough of Ryan Bowen.

I can see a silver lingin in not getting James but anyone who thought Minny asked for too much in that deal is absolutely smoking the good stuff.

    Dude give it up already.

Nachbar's D is a lot better than Bonzi Wells, in fact SUPERIOR to his and he's a JVG pet.

    Sam,

So instead of discussing a point, all you are going to do is keep poking a stick at him for an earlier story?

    How about refuting his point?

I think Boki would consider rejoining us if Yao gave him or call...

OK I will. I've watched Nachbar on defense and he sucks straight ass. That's how he racks up 20 minutes and 4-5 fouls every so often. He gets beat off the dribble and then reaches in.

I recall watching a game last month of Nets Pistons where he was stuck on Tayshaun Prince, who is not exactly Allen iverson. Regardless, Prince was able to get past him literally at will (I REALLY wish the Rox had drafted Prince that year who apparently they were very interested in, yet they opted for Nachbar instead). Like I said, on the nets it doesn't matter too much because as far as I can tell, Mikki Moore and Jason Collins are the only two guys on the Nets who bother to play defense, with mixed results.

As far as Bonzi - labeling him a JVG-pet, especially given the well-publicized clashes the two had earlier this year, is a bit of a stretch. Especially when certain posters (maybe even you, I haven't checked) were lambasting JVG for NOT playing Wells earlier in the season.

I can't argue with that, Boki is not a great defender. But he is a decent rebounder, and holds his position decently.

And, I don't really care for Bonzi, you should know that by now.

You should see BOKI's facial over Dalembert. That was sweet!
