Pretty much every one hear agrees (and I'm sure most have stated at one time or another) with what he said, and none of us have stepped onto an NBA court (as players). So its ok for us the fans, the media and veteran players to speak the truth but not a draftee. Who cares if he hasn't played a game yet, he's not dissrespecting Kobe because he's telling the truth. And it's not like he said when he faces Kobe he'll show him how the game is supposed to be played or some crap like that. He said he's arrogant and needs everybody to surround him for him to function. Sounds like a pretty good analysis to me. And you know what, everybody needs to keep saying it until he, Kobe, "gets it."
well that's one possible trade destination shot down. a few more teams to alienate and bogut will get wish to play for utah.
C'mon, Everyone is calling Kobe out these days. If fans can call him out, and kids can, and NBA players can, and his coach can, why can't Bogut? Kobe's stock is so low, it's fashionable to bust on him. I say, Kobe's earned himself that rep. There's nothing wrong with making bold statements as long as it gets backed up.
hate kobe probably more than anyone but i hope he posterize his ass. bogut shouldn't say a word before he proves himself in the NBA. still overrated as hell.
Why does he have to play a nba game before he says he thinks kobes a dumbass. If he thinks hes a dumbass now, then he should say it now.
I agree.. who cares if Kobe is a future HOF'er. would he still make it if his team never sniffs the playoffs again based on his past 5 or 6 years? I cant stand Kobe either and I think its ballsy for the kid to say what he did.. but its nice to hear people be so candid. J
Kobe is good, but he is not as good as he thinks he is, clearly he is no Jordan......I can't remember a Jordan led team missing the playoffs, can you? DD
No, but I remember Jordan-led teams having losing records and sneaking into the playoffs as a low seed. The Lakers this year were 34-48 and missed the play In 84-85 the Bulls were 38-44 and just got into the playoffs In 86-87 the Bulls were 40-42 and just made it in Jordan was injured in 85-86, and the Bulls went 30-52... And made the playoffs. That sort of tells you what the Eastern Conference was like, at the time.
well technically he led the wizards and they missed the playoffs both years. but those don't really count. but dharocks already pointed out what i was going to point out, that his team freakin' won 30 one year and still made it. i mean think of the year francis missed those game and mo t missed the whole year and rice missed almost the whole year and cuttino missed some time and had hurt ankles and we tanked at the end. if we had won 2 extra games, we would've had that same 30 wins. that's how bad 30 wins is, but jordan was injured at least. and kobe is going to make the hall of game. it's not like he's getting old and unlikely to repeat his current 28/6/6 for 5 or 6 more years on top of his already amazing resume. he, tmac, garnett, and duncan, and shaq can start thinking of what they want their plaque to say.
No one is really ever on Jordan's level, so that comparo should just die and rest in peace. Among guards, there is Jordan in a category all by himself, and then there is a secondary (human level) category for the likes of Drexler, Kobe, Iverson, Lebron, McGrady, Wade, and other young players still making their mark on the league, and who will likely be HOF when it is all set and done.
^^^^ agreed. jordan was on a whole other level that has never been reached by ANYONE. so comparing him to kobe is like comparing jordan to fat lever....there's no point.
im not sure why people are hating on bogut. it aint like he was saying he can do a better job than kobe, just simply saying kobe is selfish. i dont see anything wrong with that.
Bogut is cool in my book. F Kobe. He has talent, but is all about the negative side of the NBA - IMO.
