It's a sign of humility to pull the hand away before being kissed. Many Orthodox churches also kiss the hand of the clergy, and most pull their hand away as well to show humility.
Almost didn't get out of that kung fu grip! I will say it's a lose lose situation, but it could've been worse if she held on tighter and the security team had to get involved...#peoplebecrazy
Older skin. He was younger than the Pope too. Or was it a Walking Dead episode? Nah, it was just older skin. My friend was in pain and trying to pull his hand away, but the other guy thought my friend was excited and pumped his arm up and down. It was quite a scene. My one grandfather was the same way. One time he was trying to get out of the car and something like the seat belt shredded his hand. Good times.
I thought she was just a crazy beeotch with no manners (still might be) but yoooo what you mentioned is profound.
Yeah, Papa was passing down the line, shaking hands, giving some of that God love, and broke off from the barricades before he reached that lady (she was ready for him, too, having crossed herself as he approached). Guess he didn’t have his nap that day. Probably not what she was expecting: “Hey, what about me—-“ “What the f***, b****?!”
In the broadest definition, yes. But most Atheists make it into their own religion, like hardcore Vegans or CrossFitters. They will not stfu about it. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atheism
fwiw: Here’s an explanation of the video of him yanking his hand away from kisses https://www.catholicnews.com/servic...lities-do-not-ring-true-with-pope-francis.cfm
really? I thought agnosticism would be the lack of a firm belief. Atheists (I am not one) are supposed to be certain there is no god. That’s a belief.
I’ve always considered myself agnostic. I’ve never believed, but if a divine being walked up and said howdy, I might change my mind.
