    Here is the League website.

    http://www.fantasyleaguemanager.com/basketball/bobfinnsfant/index.php

The new guys can change your team names and pics. Also be sure to put in an email addy for trade offers.

The schedule is made out. Unfortunately they only have 1 game per week. (Major BOOOOOOO!!!)

We can start the draft (slow, I guess) once D0D posts the Draft Order. But we really need to decide on a night when most of us can get together to knock out several rounds or we will never finish on time.

I wanted to just go the computer pick and be done with it, but since most of you didn't agree we will have to have a couple of get togethers in order to get this done.

What is everyone's availability this week?

It doesn't make sense that there is a split week format for baseball, but not for basketball. Have you asked them why?

Actually, this is a really sh!tty weekend for me as I will be working all weekend. :( . But if we do the slow draft, I'll suck it up and try to arrange lists as usual. Sunday evening would be a great time to get together for picks, for me. Any other time this weekend is not so great.

I can be online pretty much anytime, but the best time for me would be after 7pm (central) during the weekdays and it varies on weekends, but I can make myself available on weekends for the most part. I can't guarantee when I'll be available from work, but the project I'm working on now will allow for some time... I just can't predict when those times will be. There you go - is that confusing enough?

This is exactly why I would rather just have you guys rank your players and let the computer pick. Smeg and Heath most likely won't be available for a live draft. It is almost impossible to get everyone together at one time. A "fast" draft turns into a "slow" one.

I asked, as I do every year, but never get an answer as to why. They just say they don't offer it for Basketball. Sometimes I get the impression that we are the only ones that use the site for Basketball

Can't Heath and Smeg just submit a full list as if we were having an auto-draft, and then the rest of us can have a live draft?

Yes they could. But then why can't all of us do the same thing?

I am trying to be fair to everyone.

I don't care what kind of draft we go with, as long as I get my draft order spot soon.

    my 2 cents again.

I don't care what draft we go with. auto-draft is fine with me. If a date is picked for a live draft and I can't make it, that's what I'm goin with anyway. We could always do a trial run of auto if we organize it fast enough. If the results end up way to wacky, then we try to organize a fast draft.

I mean, I prefer a live fast draft, but whatever is more convenient is fine by me.

Also, really I think the one lineup a week thing is fine too. I know stuff happens as far as injuiries and game disadvantages, but to me that is part of the game. The first has to do with luck, and the second having to do with smart coaching. It's a long season, and sending in less lineups isn't a bad thing.

As far as my availability, I can usually make myself available anyday if given ample notice, except for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 - 10.

My schedule is so screwy right now I cannot really commit to a specific time. However, I don't have a problem with an auto draft and can easily set up an order of players. If we go with a fast live draft There is a good possibility I could be there as long as I have a couple of days notice.

I tried looking around at the site yesterday and didnt see anyway of preranking players. Is that option not available yet (until draft order is decided or draft time set maybe)?

I will do my best to get in a pre-ranking of players, but if you go the route of a fast live draft I would like it to be later rather than early to give time to rank players for rounds a plenty. If the draft is fast it shouldnt really be a problem to leave it closer to the season as it is over quick anyway. Except for the problem of finding the timeslot that is good for most.

For me a fast live draft (for my own participation) is probably best Mondays as I'm up watching MNF and could probably do both depending on the time between picks. Thursdays/Fridays/Saturdays could also be as good if not better possibilities as well - all depending.

All I know for sure is that Wednesdays/Sundays is bad/impossible for me to attend.

Sorry guys, the board was down last night so I couldn't post the draft order.
No drama this year where I post a pick or two at a time - I think everybody wants to know where they'll be picking ASAP. ;)

Yes... yes... I cringe everytime you get a nice pick. Bastid. :)
I'm not too ecstatic about my pick... average at best. The good thing about it is that I hopefully can start runs on positions and/or won't be passed up by runs at positions. Other than that, eh, I'll battle not to be last in the league... lol.

Yeah Dr. Our picking spot sucks.

I guess it's looking more and more like we'll have to have an auto draft. That being the case, when do we need our lists in and how do we actually submit them? Is there a place on the site?

    Thanks.

    :)

The Draft is on. Castor is up. The timer doesn't seem to be working, but I set it for 10 hours. This is just so we can get started.

To make a pick make a pick click on My Rankings then the position then the players name. Once he is in the box at the top of the screen, just click on Add To My Team and he is added to your roster.

To Rank players click on Set Rankings and clear the number next to the player and replace it with your number. After you rank all your players go to Draft Settings and tell the computer what position you want picked for each round.

Once you have finished the above be sure to click the "Computer Will Pick" box. When it is your pick the computer will make your pick accordingly.
