Well.... 1) Updating of stats for games. 2) Updating of stats correctly for games. 3) Players disappearing. 4) We all had 1 tie at one point. It's been one kooky year... Bobo deserves a congressional medal of honor for still giving a damn.
Plus we don't have the scoring system we all drafted for. It wouldn't make a huge difference, but I know my team would have at least one more win. I know Bobo is doing all he can to make this season respectable, but overall this season has been a disaster compared to my only experience with Fanstar(baseball) which was great. Maybe we should go back to Yahoo next year.
I may be wrong on this, but I believe this year is the last in which yahoo fantasy sports will be free. Even if it isn't, in bball their scoring system comes nowhere close to what we use.
I'm not sure about the free part but the scoring is very customizable and could be very close to Finn's scoring system. The only thing that differs is that they don't offer head-to-head scoring for point based leagues and someone would have to add points together seperately.
Which is an integral aspect of our scoring system. The Yahoo head-to-head is a weird roto/FP/h2h conglomeration.
I guess the same goes for me, but I think Bob said earlier he always check when we made our changes, and that if it was made in time before the games started we should not worry about them being put in.
Since we haven't seen Bob all day, I did enter mine administratively, as well as entered the generic week 18 lineups. Those who need changes made (as per your week 19 entries) can wait till Bob returns. I'm out of here in a few minutes.
Hey Bob, I picked up Jiri Welsch earlier today, but he didn't show up on my roster and I can't find him on waivers. It doesn't appear that anyone else took him. I would like him in my lineup this week in place of Stephen Jackson.
Finn: I'm confused as to how long the game weeks are. I thought it was to be bi-weekly but the current scores for week 19 are much too high to have been accumulated in 3 or 4 days of action. I have noticed other high scoring weeks like this as well. Should I set my lineup preparing for a half week or for a full week? Scheduling for a half week and then getting credit for a full week really hurts my scores when I am opting for maximum games played.
I have a fantasy BBALL question. Same format as yours, except mine is long term keeper. Would any of you trade Kelvin Cato for Eddie Robinson and Kednall gill
Got it Pimp. Here is where we stand gang, I have emailed fanstar to correct the problems with the site or refund my money and we will call it a season. I am just fed up with having to email these guys for every little thing. Their baseball and football leagues are great but basketball has a long way to go. Here is the email I sent them: I am very dissappointed in your Fantasy Basketball product. I emailed you before the season to add FG% and FT % into our scoring setup. You said it would be no problem. It was never added. I asked you about the split week setup, you said you didn't realize it was available for basketball, it was a mistake but you would honor it. I have had to email you just about every week to correct our scoring. I am just about ready to give up on fantasy basketball this season. Our scores are wrong starting with week 13 (we are starting week 21 games tonight) and every week since. Our league has 2 games per week, monday -thursday is one game and friday-sunday is the secone game. The stats for all of our games are including the full weeks NBA stats (monday -sunday) for each week starting with week 13. Our standings have not been updated in 4 weeks!!! If this can not be corrected without me having to email you after every game to fix our scoring, please refund my money and I will throw in the towel on this basketball season This is the first time I have had to pay for Fantasy Basketball and I have recieved a garbage product in return. If they shut us down, we will have plenty of time to figure something out for next year. I am sorry for wasting everyone's time with the draft and everything. I thought I drafted my best team ever too dammit.
And I apologize for getting us started with Fanstar. We had no problems (or minor ones) during both baseball and football. I have no idea why they went to **** for basketball.
