I was trying to pick up Haslem last night. I tried alphabetizing the sorting, but that just closed the player list. I gave up.
Nothing will happen to your lineup. The player you waived will stay in your lineup until the current game is finished, then he will go to the free agent list.
I got an email from Fanstar and they are working on the 2 games a week thing. They say they will have it fixed by the end of the weekend. They didn't realize they had that option for basketball I'm also beginning to think we won't have any multi-postion options for certain players. I do have the ability to change players positions though, so it won't be that big of a problem. Now the question, do we stick with NBA.com's player positions to determine players position eligibility? or should we go with smeg's ESPN link instead? I will leave it up to you guys to decide. NBA.com or ESPN?
Stick to what NBA.com says. Otherwise, we drafted for all the wrong reasons in certain cases. Assume this year we've learned our lesson and if needed, we'll use ESPN or something else next year. To change positions after a draft is pretty lame since you drafted according to one set of "position interpretations". In the words of what'stheirfaces... Let it Be.
Ugh, the topic that will not die. I thought we decided on the nba.com site weeks ago. It's the NBA, not the ESPNBA. We should stick to the nba.com site every year. On another topic, when is Fanstar going to update scores from this weekend?
All persons affiliaited with or who are direct family members of an employee of nba.com may not participate in this contest.
nba.com this year, because it's what we drafted by... but definitely ESPN in future years. NBA.com isn't in the business of designing profiles for fantasy purposes... they're simply there as to highlight the person's career. They aren't frequently updated and they certainly aren't nitpicking them to include every position the player might play. ESPN evaluates the positions the players play on a regular basis and includes that information on the profiles because they host fantasy leagues. It wouldn't be fair to switch to it now because we all drafted from nba.com, but I think it's clearly the better system to use in the future.
Great post Cat We will stick with NBA.com to determine a players position eligibility this year. If you have a player that is eligible for other positions and would like to play him at a position other than what he is on the league website, just post here on the BBS, email me or use the message board on the league site. It is not a problem for me to change a player's position. Thanks for the responses.
