Jermaine O'Neal played Center last season and will do so this season as well. There is no site (that I could find anyway) that has a list of what positions players play. Those sites with the depth chart listings are a joke.

We go through this same thing EVERY season. Hell, I had Jermaine a couple of years ago as my center. Why is this multi-position thing so hard to understand?

If you have a question if someone is eligibe for another position you can either ask in this thread or email me for confidentiality purposes.

Bob, the reason it's difficult (well, maybe not difficult, but confusing) is this :

1) Does our fantasy site list these people as multi-position players? I don't see it.

2) We're calling out what position we're drafting "potentially" multi-position players. Does that mean that we have to play them at that position all during the season? Or can we play them at F or C, for example, but we only draft them at one position to satisfy the "maximum number at each position" requirement?

3) In the past websites like Yahoo specifically said "this guy is a PF/C and you can start him at either position". It was set in stone - no arguments. It was there for you to see and decide.

4) Go by NBA.com if our site doesn't list the multi-position players. I disagree with Dirk at C, but oh well, even they list him there, so I can abide by that.

5) That being said, I don't think this is that big a deal... until I draft Francis as a Center. :D ;)

I got the chart handled. I'll try and have it at the top of each page.

Sorry - had to do a quick crash course reminder on scoring and positions and check that my potential pick isn't getting stabbed in a bar.

I'll take Paul Pierce.

I imagine he can play both G/F? He's my pick either way, but just curious.

Finn -- I've clicked the link to the league site but I guess I need to log in? I'll poke around more now.

Clutch, I imagine PP will be a g/f, but don't forget to call out what position you are drafting him for.

you can only draft 5 guards and 5 forwards.

that is all.

on to DoD.

1. No

2. were not calling out what position we would play them at, finn explained (in his first post I believe) that each team can only draft 5 guards, 5 forwards, and 2 centers. If you are drafting a multipos player you must specify the pos you are drafting for so you don't go mess up the limits or change it later on in the draft. You will still be able to play them at either position during the season, calling out what position you want them listed at is just for draft purposes.

3. yes

4. apparently we are going by finn's judgement on who is a multi-pos player. Fine by me.

5. he's more of a center than a pg.

I've added the position of each player on the chart as listed on nba.com.

Yes, Garnett is listed only as a F.

 I stated in the original post of this thread they are still working on the scoring upgrades as well as the multi-position feature for the site. So it is not available yet.

 Once again, I went over this in the initial post of this thread. Now I know I am on some ignore lists. The proof is in the pudding:rolleyes:

Can you PLEASE post a link so we can get on with this draft. We will go by NBA.com from here on out.

FYI, I knew the answers to those questions. It was a walkthrough on why it may be confusing as opposed to other years. And come on Lard Boy, everybody knows Francis is a C.

But anywho...

Ben Wallace PF/C. I will draft him as a C.

I am here - I will pick in a couple of minutes, but will do some last minute checking first. also, heath and pued are both in chat, so hopefully we can knock out a few picks. heath is away, but should be back soon.

I'll take Pierce as a guard .... I guess. Man I have no clue what to choose there. Why do I feel that type of decision is going to haunt me in Round 10 (yes, I don't sleep well at night knowing I can't take Mike Wilks with the 133rd pick)

Finn I don't know if anyone else has a better link but under the individual player pages for each nba player under their picture it lists their position. So far:

Duncan: F-C
Garnett: F
Nowitzki: F-C
S. O'Neal: C
McGrady: G
Kidd: G
J. O'Neal: F-C
Pierce: F-G
B. Wallace: F-C

here is an example from B Wallace

side note: With my 7th pick I was deciding b/n O'Neal, Pierce, and Wallace and then they got picked directly after in that order.
