OK here are all of the teams. If you need to pay, you are in red. Please get this to me by Friday. I'd like to do the lottery and begin the draft Monday evening.

Is there access to player rankings from last year based on the point system? How do we know which position players are? Thanks!

The rankings got reset when the league site was reset. The point system is in an earlier post in this thread.

Regarding player positions, we used NBA.com, but I am open to other suggestions if that will help spice things up.

I suggest we just go by what yahoo has the player listed as on their fantasy site...(a player gets eligibility when he starts 5 games at said position) they update frequently as opposed to NBA.com.

I agree with this. I've always liked Yahoo's position system better than NBA.com.

I don't suppose y'all would be willing to reconsider the idea of having 3 flex players this season? To me, when you have that many flex players, drafting by position becomes meaningless. It's something that's always bugged me about this league. You can just always draft Best Player Available and be done with it. Where's the strategy?

    Just my input. :(

I'll send the payment today, Pimp.

I long for the old days when you had to start a PG, SG, SF, PF & C plus 3 flex.

I personally like something more like PG, SG, G, SF, PF, F, C, and 1 flex.

    Or even 3 G, 3 F, 1 C, and 1 flex.

As it is, you could build a team and not even have a point guard or small forward, for example, and still do well.

We pretty much do that. Occasionally one person (ok, several people) will be top heavy in guards or forwards which is dictated by the flow of the draft and injuries.

If anyone wants to regulate the lineups to ensure proper positions are maintained, I'll be happy to let someone do it. It would be way too much work for me to handle though.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought our current lineup system was 2 G, 2 F, 1 C, and 3 flex.

That means you can have 5 small forwards, 2 shooting guards, and a center in your starting lineup.

I just think that's not a very good system.

If I'm wrong about what our rules are, or if fanstar doesn't have the capability to do anything better, then I'm totally cool with it. Obviously if anyone has to revert to keeping track of stuff by hand then it's not worth it.

I was just making the point that too many flex/utility players basically eliminates the value of having positions at all.

Hmmm, I dug around a bit and actually we can break it down to C, PF, SF, SG, G and have max starters (say 4?) at each position.

    Thoughts EVERYONE??

I also like the PG-SG-SF-PF-C format as long as we are using yahoo to determine player eligibility.
