Totally awesome as I have no idea what I'm doing. Picking a team in a 16 team league is beyond hard.

Yahoo does not offer a fantasy points based head-to-head format. All their games are roto-oriented. FP H2H is a lot more fun, in my opinion.

This isn't the first time you've complained about fanstar leagues. If you dislike them so much, why do you keep joining them?

fade, all the leagues that I have setup or played in Yahoo are H2H format with fantasy points. You can choose to play roto, but I hate roto. You have the choice of leaving the league setup with the Yahoo default of fantasy points per stat or change them to whatever you like. What format are you talking about in Yahoo that doesn't offer fantasy points based H2H format?

And the only complaining I do about the leagues (football and basketball) is the BBS draft. That has nothing to do with Fanstar. Usually when the drafts are over and the leagues start, I just play it out and you don't hear anything else from me. Sometimes I say stuff in the Hoops/Footy Smack threads, but I don't complain about anything else.

Draftwise, I just prefer (by a large margin) Yahoo's format than Fanstar's. That's it.

This is incorrect. Yahoo's H2H format for basketball is roto based. You have a certain number of categories, and if you do better than your opponent in that category for the week, then you get one point. This is roto-based H2H. This format is used in Yahoo fantasy basketball and baseball.

Fantasy points H2H is more like traditional fantasy football scoring. You get a designated number of points for any stats you accumulate. Yahoo simply does not offer this type of scoring in its free basketball or baseball games. Maybe it does if you fork out the dough to play in their premium leagues; I don't know. But the standard H2H leagues, even the ones you have set up, one of which I am in, are all roto H2H.

For basketball, I stand corrected. I meant the scoring for fantasy football.

I haven't done yahoo's drafts, but are they fast live? We tried that one year in one of these leagues and it didn't work for us, at all. It was buggy, of course, which yahoo might not be. But I really prefer the slow, live format. I wouldn't mind reduced time limits, but I don't stress about the draft running for a week or more. We always start early enough that the draft is over by the time the season starts, with time to spare...

I usually run 10 team leagues. For a draft that size, we are usually done 1 1/2 to 2 hours max. It doesn't seem buggy anymore. I got through my Yahoo fantasy football league drafts with no problem.

Sorry guys I can't make the pick until around 540ish. So don't get too antsy until then. Sit back, watch the Texans, and Ill get back to fantasy land in no time.

    Good pick!  :)

    I am going for a r e a c h...I pick Wilson Chandler, SF.

Got a question about position elgibility. Can a multi-positon player be started at any of their positions week-to-week or do you have to chose only one position and keep them at that spot? For example can I start Duncan as a PF the first week and a C the 2nd week? Or do you pick a position, say PF for Duncan, and he is a PF for the entire season?

Any position for which they are eligible. They will (or should) be listed at each eligible position. I've been trying to keep up with this throughout the draft, so I don't have verify positions for 177+ players when we are done, but if I miss any, please let me know.
