Just realized games are already going down. I didn't set my lineup. My head hurts. Confusion... someone throw me a bone
JUST set it. Otherwise it was last weeks. And I set it in a hurry too. Can we still make edits? My brain hurts guys. Not supposed to think this hard on Monday. edit: just got that email. good stuff. full day of bball for y'all, I have to work. someone get Quanell up here stat.
And the hits just keep on coming for Zig: "Kevin Love will miss Monday's game due to a stomach illness."
We'll still end up with an even number of games played. And you've got the lead... it's all up to Wilson Chandler today vs. the Mavs.
Having a 3 game advantage was part of my devious plan to vulture a win from you. I end up only getting 2 and a quarter games out of Monta Ellis, then Noah sitting out last night really ****ed me. Ugh this game is so frustrating.
It's down to the wire between PSJ and I. We have a 2 point game and should be decided by Caron Butler and Danilo Gallinari if Eric Gordon sits out as is being reported. Cmon Caron! You can do it!
Midseason Report Its a little past midseason already, but I'm sure most of us have been pretty busy watching the NFL playoffs. Should be an interesting stretch run. By my count there are 2 heavyweights (Jent and Sammy) and 6 other teams that will duke it out for the remaining 4 slots. Should be a fun finish. Here's the team-by-team breakdowns. West Division Jent Current Record: 12-2 Current Place: 1st in Division This team is brutally massacring the league, too many studs and a deep bench spells favorable matchups every week. He's showing no signs up letting up. Loul Deng is enjoying a great season, and Marcus Camby and Baron Davis has been reliable. This is a juggernaut that won't easily be bested. Capitol City Pimps Current Record: 9-5 Current Place: 2nd in Division Sometimes its better to be lucky than good. Pimp currently holds a 9-5 record despite a mediocre team and the 4th worst EvE W/L record. Even if he weasels his way into the playoffs it is unlikely he'll have the roster to compete for a title. Ripped in 4 Weeks Current Record: 8-6 Current Place: 3rd in Division A lucky break this week gives moes a much needed victory over the mighty Aliens and keeps him with the pace in the wildcard hunt. Lebron James and Monta Ellis have been outstanding, but he'll need to get more consistency from the supporting cast to make a serious run at a title. Madshag Current Record: 7-6-1 Current Place: 4th in Division Still in the wild card mix, Shag's team posted an impressive trouncing of Ziggy's team this past week. Stephen Curry and Andrew Bogut had huge weeks and David Lee has been beastly to say the least. Might be a surprise here. KarlMalone187 Current Record: 3-11 Current Place: 5th in Division This team is like the Lakers after Shaq left, a lot of Kobe and not a lot of anything else. Better luck next year. Flinttown Current Record: 1-11-1 Current Place: Last in Division The New Jersey Nets of this league. This team is pretty awful. The roster is filled with players who were good fantasy options 3-4 years ago, not today. As Money May would say... STEP YA GAME UP. East Division The Aliens Current Record: 12-2 Current Place: 1st in Division Cruising right along until a minor setback this past week. If Jent's team is the Saints of this league, The Aliens are the Colts. Solid across the board. Zach Randolph is the difference maker. This is a tough team to take down, pray for injuries if you face them. Pistol Dick Suicide Current Record: 8-6 Current Place: 2nd in Division A team that is scary when healthy, but hasn't been completely healthy much at all. They've got a legit chance at a title though, if those guys stay off crutches the rest of the way. Kaman and Love especially. Rook Current Record: 8-6 Current Place: 3rd in Division A better team than the record maybe shows. A healthy Gerald Wallace putting together a monster season has been the key to success for the Rook. He's right in the thick of things. Fade Current Record: 7-7 Current Place: 4th in Division Another team that is probably better than record indicates, fade picked up a key win over BlackTopKings to get back to .500. His team is 10 deep and very solid, no reason he shouldn't push for a wild card berth in the final 7 games. BlackTopkings Current Record: 6-8 Current Place: 5th in Division Likely won't make the playoffs now. Mediocre across the board despite having a very solid core group (Nash, Paul, Lopez, Smith). Just not getting enough production from the supporting cast to compete with the better teams. Blame it on the suckiness of Mehmet Okur. PSJ Current Record: 3-11 Current Place: Last in Division Not much going right at all for PSJ this season. Injuries have played a big part in derailing any chance he may have had. No shot at the playoffs despite his team competing fairly well lately. His rookie strategy might have fared better if he had gotten anything out of Blake Griffin.
Who are the midseason steals of the year? Ill throw a vote at Deng who finally after 2 disappointing fantasy years has returned. And thanks again for another fun writeup.
Nice write up. I have been pretty disappointed with how things have broken for my team this season. I'm hoping my luck improves for the better.
I'd rep ya moes if I didn't need to spread it around more first. Nice recap. And congrats on the W. Well deserved, not just a lucky break.
I swear if Rambis brings Love off the bench for 17 minutes ever again I will hunt him down put his goggles back on and hang him from a tree.
