To think there are Rockets fans complaining that they don't want Dwight.

    IMAGINE BEING A BOBCATS FAN!

We may not be the Lakers or the Celtics, but we've got it good right now.

Bobcats have a somewhat sneaky solid starting lineup if Cody Zeller performs adequately.

If MKG can develop some form of offense and Zeller lives up to his potential, they could be in play for the 8th. With so many teams tanking the 8th seed will probably be 10 games under haha.

I don't think I missed the point. I think you both underestimate their talent level. Ziggy less so than you.

I don't agree that they are a high lotto team without Kevin Martin. Unless they get killed by injuries again.
And I don't agree that their ceiling is 47 wins with Martin -- although that point seems more debatable.

I just don't see much talent difference between them and the Grizzlies. Are they less perfectly constructed? Probably yes. They could use a defender on the wing (while the Grizzlies could use some shooting). And they could use a shotblocker. Do they have less experience together? Definitely. They might need a year to build chemistry.
But I think they can be a solid perennial 50-55 wins team with a chance to advance a few rounds, if they stay healthy.

They also do have a few nice youngsters / assets. So I'm not sure where the pessimism is coming from. Love/Pekovic (despite the lack of shot blocking) is one of the most impressive big men combos in the league. Their point guard is 22, less than 100 games of NBA experience, plays on both ends and immensely talented. They have a solid bench. And they just went from the worst-spaced team in the league last year to potentially one of the best shooting teams next year.
    I like the move.

Bobcast just amnestied Tyrus Thomas to get this done. They gave the Bulls a 1st round pick for him. Wow, that did not turn out well for the Bobcats.

That's not the worst starting backcourt in the league, tbh.

Really? I'm shocked no one else was interested. I guess Jefferson is all about money and not winning. I could have seen him going to any if the borderline playoff teams.

True. Well, depends on what the other teams do as well. Some of the current backcourts look really ugly, depends on who goes where.

Kemba/Henderson is decent. Without Henderson, it will be up there.

Philadelphia looks terrible right now. Their point guard is a rookie (and a very raw rookie IMO), and they have no healthy SG. Maybe they re-sign Nick Young or move Evan Turner to SG, but it should be a really bad backcourt.
