Boban is a pro and he wants to play and will in specific situations. He also trains like a pro and frankly if someone wants his roster spot then take it. Garuba had his chance to "take it" and I don't have all the details but clearly he didn't. Potential alone isn't going to guarantee you anything and and Boban's career is an example of that. There are reasons that Garuba is back in Europe while Boban has carved out a nice NBA career. Also, I don't mean to pick on Garuba it's only a convenient and close to home example since we are all very familiar with both players.
Color me unimpressed. Training camp body? Great veteran. Nothing personal but when does he play? Seems like a wasted roster spot.
I don’t get it. Hire him as an assistant coach instead. Why we giving away young guys we drafted if we are going to waste space on Boban?
Boban can affect the game just by standing in the paint. I don't have any problem with the Rockets signing him for a cheap contract.
No one dominates garbage time like Boban. Team had its best offensive rating, defensive rating and net rating with Boban on the floor last season. Best bargain in the league.
Boban is not really needed now that KPJ is gone and we have veterans like VanVleet and Green to help steer the ship straight. At this point his role is just comic relief.
Yesterday against Pelicans: 4 points 5 rebounds 1 assist in 6 minutes. In 36 minutes, it would be: 24 points, 30 rebounds, 6 assists.
People can bring up the circus freak show signing all they want, the guy seems like a humble human being, which is great to have and when you play him, he really can contribute. I don't care what anyone says, he's useful for 5 to 10 minutes every now and again.
Very talented for a 7'5 guy. I was watching one of his workout clips on twitter dude is very solid from behind the arc. He made like 30 of his 40-45 shots.
