Although I don't like Sura's decision-making sometimes, I do like his energy and intensity. This guy, along with Wesley, hustle all the time on court, which really make the whole team more active on both end. I would say even after we can get a true PG, he deserve to stay in this team. As for some posts in other threads argueing that Sura don't like to pass to Yao and even T-Mac sometimes, it is another story. As long as the team gets more wins, they will build up the chemistry that we want and bring even more wins in turn, which is a positive feedback.
Last two games showed up sura's liability. He is not good at one on one defense against elite pgs, he holds the ball a little bit too much, his court vision is limited, and he shoots badly in most night. Since we have to stick to sura at least this season, I think jvg need do something to utilize his strength to full while limit the exposure of his weakness as much as possible. What I think is sura is only permitted to shoot either for driving to the basket, or for an open 2 or 3. He has to take care of some little things, like stepping outbound. it happened night in night out. When the defense is really stifling, and he couldn't find someone open, he need give the ball to t-mac, let him create chances. Of course, he need to be more focused on his defense, and continue doing what he is praised for: hustling and rebounding.
Sura needs to stop handling the Rocket. He is bad at creating shots most of the time. Let T-Mac handle the ball most of the time. Sura need to focus on defense/rebound/steal.
Tmac has already got too much load on his shoulder. He has to set up the offense, finish the offense, play defense, and grab boards on a 40+ mins per game basis. I mean this is just way too much for him, he can't be playing like this for a full season without injuries. Rockets should sign a true point guard to share Tmac's pressure.
T-Mac doesn't need to bring the ball up. But during the majority of the set half-court offese, T-Mac should create. He doesn't have to finish.
