Is this really true guys about Sura coming back soon? If it is this is great because he is the heart and soul of the Houston Rockets. If he comes back soon we will go on a huge winning streak. Go Rockets!!!
I'm developing feelings for this man...like I did Mario Ellie and Robert H...can go to war with this guy
This day keeps getting better and better! Only thing that could make it any better would be to have it snow all night and have classes cancelled tomorow, so I wouldn't have to take my exam tomorow.
They are both listed as 'day to day'. Neither of them traveled with the team on the road trip but it's said they will likely join them at some point on the trip. After that they and the trainers will decide if they get any minutes.
From ESPN.com Former Kings player Jon Barry, who scored 24 points in Houston's season-opening win against Sacramento, has a strained right calf and did not make the trip.
if bowen can have a impact with just his hustle and energy sura can too...last year we didnt even have to wait til sura got into game shape....his hustle, heart and toughness made a impact in his first game back and the rest of the year...
Why wouldn't he? Had a huge impact last year. Versatile, veteran guards who can defend and score and hustle always make a big impact.
He may be in great shape from a physical ailment part. He was interviewed by Matt Jackson before the Boston game and he said his back feels great and the doctors are very optimistic that it won't be a factor anymore. Matt J then asked him if he would rehab the back and the knee at the same time and he said Yes, that's the plan and that he WILL return sometime this season but does NOT want to set a timetable. These are straight from Sura's mouth.
I disagree. Sura was a leader on this team. He lead the roleplayers. It wasn't his skills that we miss, it was his leadership, and the chemistry balance. During the early struggles this year when T-Mac was out of the game, the team would hang their heads, and played without any fire as a whole. They couldn't pump each other up, or get each other going, there was no sense of a team being close and in the thing together with the goal of winning, and having fun along the way. That was a huge difference from last year. Last year when JB, Surra, and Padget, Wesley, and others were out there, you could tell they were together, and really hoping for the best for each other. And when good things happened they were happier for each other than they seemed to be this year for their brief individual accomplishments. With Sura providing that kind of glue to the teams chemistry and that kind leadership, we shouldn't have the collapses we had early on. What Sura brings to the team is more than his average skills. He brings grit, determination, toughness, and chemistry. But the great thing about Sura is that he brings enough for all the role players, which is something they haven't had a lot of this year.
When I heard the director of scouting speak before the Boston game he said he wasn't sure if Rafer would go that night. So, I think his return is imminent. I imagine he'll probably play this roadtrip.
"...Crap we are watching right now..." [whisper] pst...did you know we won 3 of the last 4? [/whisper]
whenever sura does actually come back, i'm sure he'll be in great shape and he'll be that spark that this team has been missing. things will once again look good for the rockets........... .....for the two weeks that sura will play before getting hurt again.
Sura was a vocal leader on the court. Do we have any at the moment? Maybe Wesley but thats it. Tmac is a leader by example, Yao isn't one yet. I welcome Bobby back with open arms.
