to follow up on this point; GEORGE, you are obviously not cultured and your knowledge of the arts demonstrably poor, but please, could you enlighten us with a list of persons in the arts who support the old geezer? TIA
and now i know you're dissatisfied with your position and your place. dont you understand its not my problem? i wish that for just one time you could stand inside my shoes and just for that one moment i could be you. yes, i wish that for just one time you could stand inside my shoes so you'd know what a drag it is to see you.
Yeah from what I know he has a lot of conservative leanings on things, but hasn't ever directly backed a candidate. I don't get that quote about people can't have purity if they are poor. Can you imagine telling that to Mother Theresa?
I don't know why you think it's cool to rag on McCain because of his age. The guy is a bright respectful decorated war veteran and the best you can come up to refer to him as is an old geezer? Even the Uniter knows age discrimination isn't cool. Do you think the thoughts of your parents or grandparents should be regarded by society as coming from old geezers? Don't you think that by the time you have accomplished as much as McCain has in his life that you'd earn a little more respect than that?
dude, i don't think it's "cool", i think he's a senile coot and i don't want him in charge of trying to right the ship. when i am as old and incoherent as grandpa mcCodger, feel free to call me out.
When you're as old as he is, I'm sure you will see how stupid the comments you made about him are. Nice to see you upgraded from geezer to coot. On a side note....You'd rather have some naive guy with very little experience that thinks he can wave a magic wand and make the world like us and the races unite right the ship. That's a laugh...
For them that must obey authority That they do not respect in any degree Who despise their jobs, their destinies Speak jealously of them that are free Cultivate their flowers to be Nothing more than something They invest in. This is fun.
Ah, at his age he may as well try and catch the wind. (I know -- If eel his pain.) Edit: That would have been more salient except a friend of mine just called to say that this would have been apropriate for Donovan. Oops! So make that: Ah, at his age he may as well be blowin in the wind.
"At his age?" He's five years younger than McCain. Nice post as usual, CBFC. And you really made the central point, which is Dylan's 40+ year long streak of utter cynicism when it comes to politics. To a Dylan fan, the idea that he'd ever express hopeful feelings about a politician was pretty much unthinkable before these quotes. That's why the story's interesting.
Wow....I'm surprised anyone (Dylan fan or not) was ever caring about, monitoring and or worrying about that dopehead's political leanings. If Obama can get the Boy George fan to swing his way (pardon the pun) this race will be over quick.
Thanks for posting. The contrast of the enormously bored fans and the guy on the horse who is obviously excited to be dressed up as something he's not is symbolic of something going on around here.
i was gonna chop the pic but damn, it doesn't need it. GEORGE has chosen this as his doppelganger. HILLARYOUS SELF-OWNAGE
