"Met" Brad Miller at the Academy on 59 and Kirby earlier today. I didn't take a picture. Not a f*****. I though he was a college player when i saw him walk in, maybe from the FF, but then i noticed it was him. I think he was checking out the fishing/hunting section (of course). Caught up with him on his way out, but I could tell he was rushing to get out wihout being noticed. I skipped the pic opportunity, quickly shook his hand, said it was nice to meet him, they're playing great, and I hope they can keep it going until the final game. Cool story bro!
Brad looks like a tortured freak. I have problems being a 6'5 1/2 walking around town but 7ft? It's like you are a walking carnival for spectators to gawk at and make either positive or condescending comments. Brad looks like he had a hard time in his teens being a freak of nature.
yeah i kind of got that vibe from him, but may be it's due to being a sports celebrity when he doesn't want to be famous....he walked in kind of hiding underneath his cap, trying not to make eye contact with people...same thing on the way out, he tried not to make eye contact with me, but since i had already stepped towards him I guess he knew I had recognized him. Didn't come off like an ******* though, just in a rush.
you should have told him the truth. you should have told him that his his game is regressing horribly instead, and that you need to retire unless you can hit a jumpshot consistently again.
That would be a stupid thing to say. Why would Brad retire if a team is willing to pay him millions to be on their team?
hmm, about what time? I was there at around 3pm looking for Final Four stuff to wear to the game, and they had only ONE FREAKING SHIRT......
