I haven't read the thread yet, and I don't eat ice cream anymore, but when I did, my favorite Blue Bell flavors were : Vanilla Moollenium Crunch and Chocolate Moollenium Crunch After that, pretty much anything with chocolate in it...
I haven't lived in Texas in a while- do they still have mint chocolate chip ice cream at Blue Bell? That's my favorite. Edit: I guess they do, judging by the previous post.
Blue Bell Buttered Pecan is something special. I can't believe only 2 people listed it as their favorite so far. Several moons ago for about a year or so, Blue Bell stopped making Buttered Pecan because the cost was such they would have been forced to price it higher than their other flavors. During that time frame, I stopped buying Blue Bell.
They had this wedding cake one a few years ago that was really great. I wish they would bring it back.
I agree with you, wedding cake was delicious. I also love butter pecan, southern hospitality, and strawberry! Need to go buy some this weekend...
Blue Bell is a great bargain. Best Bang for your buck. I like Cookies and Cream, French Vanilla, Vanilla, and most recently Southern Hospitality. Marble Slabs and Ben and Jerrys are the Best. Coldstone sucks balls. I rather have bluebell.
I heard about the new one and it was supposedly da bomb. There was a lot of factors to moving to Houston after getting out the Navy and Bluebell was one of them! ;p Sonics and the Rockets a few others, haha, I know I know, bad. But my favorite is Pecan Pralines and runner up would be a tie between Homemade Vanilla and (I think its called Century Anniversary or something)
1) Homemade Vanilla (It may come off as a bland #1 to most, but really.. no other brand's "vanilla" comes close to blue bell's) 2) Brownie Sundae 3) Birthday Cake 4) Butter Pecan 5) Cookies and Cream
