The only disappointment with Planet Earth HD was that they spend so much time on the ugly uninteresting monkeys and bats and insects. They should've spend more time in Asia and Africa filiming the spetacular wild life there.

 

There is a bit of CGI that I can think of. Some time lapse are CGI.

The only CGi time lapse that I can pick out starting at 3:28. It's just too seamless moving from one season to another so pretty much they fake the season change.

I love my Blu-Ray but I dont really buy too many movies for it. I'm a netflix junkie. I did, however, buy Planet Earth and all the Pixar flicks....and I'll be buying Watchmen's director's cut on BR.

 

Hmm, the chance to see Jessica Alba's glorious bikini'd ass swimming about in full Blu-Ray resolution? That sounds like a must buy to me.

I will never ever ever touch another insignia product. I used to work at BB, they are soo hit or miss. Seen both sides of that pendulum too many times.
