I have to agree with you on this one. I see Francis improving! But, there is no excuse for the lack of intensity. I have to say that we have too many redundancies. I mean Weatherspoon is a better defending/rebounding Mo. Steve and Mobley are very similar. JJ should be playing the majority of his minutes as a 2 guard. My solution... 1) We need to get a different PF. We need a banger that protects Yao! 2) We need a taller sf. I want Potapenko! He reminds me of Lambeer.
Potapenko has balls. No easy lay-ups. Gotta love that if he was on our team. The guy is always on the floor, diving for a ball.
If he wants to look like an idiot, that's his perogative. Personally I am willing to pay money to watch others make fools out of themselves.
One is 28 and a league veteran. One is 23, a 2nd year player who is constantly double teamed. Have you ever seen a 16 ppg scorer get double teamed as much as Yao does??
You should all calm down, I've seen improvement all year, and it's flamers like you that start all this $#!% and crap. Learn to spell, you didn't even spell prerogative right you jackass, don't go insulting people. Why pay to see others make fools of themselves when I can watch you for free.
Yes I'm sorry for bashing an obvious player hater on this board. I am also sorry for NOT editing my post as I DIDN'T realize I am writing an English paper here. Who's the fool here, myself for not checking my spelling, or you for jumping into an argument when you don't even know the facts to start. Now that I have made a complete fool out of you, feel free to respond.
Oooh, I have definitly called for him to be traded. I was referring to a particular thread about oil and water. DD
One more thing... The reason that Steve and Cat do not play well with Yao is that they need the ball in their hands to be successful...Steve more than Cat. Neither one of them moves off the ball worth a darn....did you see the cut that Pike made where he passed it over his shoulder to Weatherspoon? That is the offense that we should be running, but our guards... A. Do not cut after the entry pass B. Do not cut on the weak side C. Are horrible secondary passers Sometimes it is ok to reverse the ball, or go right back to the person who passed it. The important thing is to get the defense off balance and moving where YOU want them so that you get an open shot. Of course, when you get that shot you need to have players who can knock it down. I really believe that EG would have added 6+ wins to this team if he had his head on straight. A PF who has range out to 3 point territory and rebounds and blocks shots.......man .....EG ........dang !! DD
Yeah you made a real fool out of me. Notice that no one else here was flinging insults till you came here talking about others. Saying that you would pay to watch others make fools of themselves, so childish, you know this is the trash that keeps these boards in ruin sometimes. It's good to see when some have constructive criticism, and even when they want to vent frustration, to attack another for his freedom of speech is just ridiculous. If you have to consult a dictionary to spell correctly, I think I'm not the fool here anyway. I won't even come back to this thread, feel free to think about how childish you are, and respond to yourself.
hehehe....interesting.... dont insult people? in the same sentence after you insulting someone? and what do we call this, class?
I didn't watch the game today, but 4-18 is just horrendous. Sometimes, you just have to stop shooting. I have understood and supported the shooting yourself out of a slump idealology in the past, but not when said slump reaches a duration of four months. I don't know...maybe it's time. If Portland, Memphis, and Denver all make the playoffs, CD will either have a quiet summer at home due to his permanent vacation or one hell of a summer in the office. As the lethal scorer that I have always known him as, Steve posed a scary Robin to Yao's Batman, but he is worth absolutely nothing as an unconfident, undersized SG.
sorry...that was meant as a question...then I was adressing the class....like in school... oh hell..I screwed it up... you know what I meant. what do we call this?.....would the class like to answer?
Oh no, heaven forbid that I made a spelling error and forgot to edit because it's AN INTERNET FORUM and NOT PART OF MY LIFE. I suppose that you've been Mr. Perfect Speller from the start. For a sample of amed's posts just check this thread (among the dozens of other posts he made). I assure you it's gold: http://bbs.clutchcity.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=73630 Wow, I bashed an obvious player (Yao) hater. Shame on me. Now who's the fool: myself for mispelling (heaven forbid) on an internet forum or you for posting without not knowing the facts. I never quite understood that why some people never understand the concept of IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT, THEN SHUT THE HELL UP.
Antonio Daniels even said that it was in their gameplan to make Steve shoot the ball. Teams are realizing that he is a liability. DD
I think a lot of people just want Ming become another Cato, no shots, just rebounds and a few nice dunks. I feel sorry to Cato who have suffered a lot to the team.
I would think you would be wrong. to say alot of people want that would be totally untrue. I woul dsay alot of people hope he can becomes alot more like Hakeem...he certainly has the skills for it....if not the drive that the Dream used to have. I would settle for him becoming similar to the Dream..but I suspect he will always need some help from at least one other real good player, and a bunch of decent ones. I honestly think Cat can be that one real good player to help Yao...if we could just find some decent ones to go around them.
