"Blockbuster just killed the video store"

    Yeah, I really wonder how many people watch enough movies to make this a better deal than going to the store and renting videos individually. for 17.99 a month, you could rent about 4 new release movies. I don't rent at all, but i just have a feeling that a lot of people sign up for this and then rent a few movies and let them sit at home for a month without even watching them or sending them back for new ones...

    SCF, you'd be surprised. Most people I know who get NetFlix increase their moving watching. It's just so easy, and there is the incentive to 'get your money's worth.'

    I could see how over the longterm it would get old though.

    I rent 6-8 movies per week.

    of course I don't "watch" any of them. ;)

    Blockbuster has been a dying operation for years, why do you think Hizenga(Sp?P sold it?

    Online movies, downloadable through cable and satalite.

    Blockbuster is a dinosaur.
