McHale was a Rocket. I supported him. You didn't. I follow the Rockets. That's it. You **** on some of the Rockets due to your own desires. That's you.

Just because he's been sucking since the days of Eddie Sefko and the Houston Post doesn't make him 1) old school or 2) respected.

Old school journalists provide sources for their claims. Old school journalists avoid hyperbole. Old school journalists prefer substance over speculation. Old school journalists use quotes because, you know, they have sources/information to quote.

Respect is earned, not accrued with service time.

sure, most likely we will have a new coach, this season or next. i just cant see bickerstaff (sp?) remains long term.

but the importance of coaching can be overstated sometimes, tho a necessary ingredient of ultimate success. eventually its the players who have to do it on the court.

les must be convinced (by morey) that this current roster is championship material. and that's why he's so mad, unprecedentedly.

    i see more turmoils ahead.

That's your problem. You blindly follow an incompetent leader. You can't think for yourself.

I know what's better for this team and I want that.

I support every Rocket, whether he "sucks" or not. Guess we're just different types of fans.

You do know he wrote a lot of OP-ED type of pieces right?

Had it coming. He was part of the problem, not solely.

Mchale had to bite the bullet for his player.

Does that check a box under the 1) old school or 2) respected category? I'm confused.

I was reading Fran's stuff while taking dumps (apropos much?) a quarter-century ago. So, yeah, I'm familiar.

You do know Marge Schott paid her black players, right? That definitely made her a respected owner, right? L.O.L What is a history of OP-ED pieces supposed to prove other than age or tenure in the business. And, for that, I would submit you re-read my take on how respect is acquired.

I agree a lot of this is on the players.

That said, I don't agree with mchale doing anything "for" his player.

Mchale should've sat Harden's ass down. He should have had less discussions and more direction...he should have let them know he wasn't standing for this **** and he should've gone out with a clear line drawn that he was against this non sense and that the players just wouldn't listen.

He still needed to be fired, but he enabled these guys.

Well, Fran, McHale was a major reason we lacked cohesion and trust.

Considering Fran's last articles on the Rockets, it is not surprising that he took McHale's side.

Bottom line is that McHale had to go.

I agree, that is something every coach should do in that situation. If mchale had done that, maybe harden would've had more respect for him.

At the end of the day. Mchale was the scapegoat.

The harsh reality is that no matter how much McHale sucked (and he did) the players are doing this on their own accord.

What the hell is the excuse for shooting 20%?

Harden and Lawson are terrible together. Harden has something mentally wrong with him.

The fact that Blinebury is neurotic and has rocky relationships with players doesn't mean his opinion should be completely dismissed in this instance. He has access to the locker room and is in the know behind the scenes more the 99% of the GARM. Everything he's saying lines up with what we're seeing unfold on the court in front of our very eyes. Anytime you see such a 180 degree shift in the play from last year, there's something more going on.
