So what if you can't give Mo and SA (not to mention Moochie) the money they want and still have enough to make Hakeem happy? ------------------
If the Rockets can't find a good young center who is relatively young, then the Rockets should sign Dream. But only for one year. And hopefully not for an outrageous price. A 2 year or longer deal would hurt the Rockets capspace and possibly at center since health is an issue. The last 2 year Dream has only played an average of 51 games per season. Granted he played all 50 games the lockout year but he has had several health issues since then, including breathing problems that has effected his stamina. ------------------ "Instruments are like women: After a while, you want to make love to another." - Nicolas Godin of the musical duo Air
Amen. With Eddie Griffin as a future superstar but needing a couple years' seasoning, we might as well sign Marc Jackson or Nazr Mohammed. The latter showed he can play but will also need a couple years' seasoning. We might be lotto product for a year or two but should emerge pretty strong when other Western Conference powers fade (Utah, Sac, Port, SA [when Robinson and Duncan leave]). Just a thought. ------------------
Hakeem would have played a lot more over the past few years if not for Rudy's attitude of working him in slowly, which is a very stupid attitude. Rudy: "Hakeem missed two weeks and is ready to go, so I better bring him off the bench for the next two months, but only after I put him on the injured list for an additional five games." My point is that Hakeem has played more than half the season in every year he has been in the league, and I expect a breakthrough this year. ------------------ Protrolls.com! I'd much rather have Dream. Better an aging, sometimes injured guy who can show flashes of his peak potential when it counts than some average guys who will never take you over the top.
