I like the thunder and lightening comment. I think the Rockets have found a two player combo that seems to be especially effective.

Why on earth is he trashing T-Mac? The fans, and others, wanted him to be more aggressive. While his FG% isn't so good the first two games, he has taken a ton of free throws. Doesn't that mean something?

Blinebury should amputate his hands so he can't type this garbage.

And that's something Battier can't do?

McGrady did some work in the 3rd. Didn't he score 8 points in a row to keep us in the mix?

Agreed, all the Tmac hate was unnecessary. The dude's got an injured shoulder for pete's sake and he still drove the ball enough to get 11 free throw attempts.

This team is something else, but here is the skinny on the team:

    1. T-mac is the man but Artest has the attention of all his teammates.
He commands respect and assigns accountability to his team just look how they respond to him.

    2. If you asked me who the leaders are I would say Artest and B Barry

They teach and collaborate to make sure everyone is on the same page.

T-mac and Yao are exceptional talents but they have not commanded to the degree that Artest has and also they don't inspire the others Artest does

Fran could write a blog on ending world piece and still take a few stabs at T-mac, it's expected.

Blinebury is a joker. I'm critical of Tracy too but that stab was completely unnecessary from a writer at the Chronicle.

It's going to be hard to take Ron out of the starting lineup if he keeps delivering like this. But a 2nd unit that includes Ron, AB, Landry and Brent Barry has a lot of appeal. I don't think it matters who starts; it's who finishes games. Last night was Chuck's time. Go with the hot hand.

The thing I like about Artest starting is it allows him to guard the other teams best scorer instead of Battier- Battier is scrappy, but Artest simply is lock down.

If you want Artest for his offense then yes bring him off the bench, but whenever TMac was guarding Howard, Howard scored at will.

I don't know if Battier can handle players like Howard, Kobe, James as well as Artest.

It works on a couple of levels. The song title and Artest's nick. Also that Ron Ron has a rep for being crazy. Phil Spector is several wigs and one dead actress crazy.

In the first half, howard was torching everyone, including artest. I think battier is better at guarding jump shooters off screens while artest may be better at guarding the slasher types or the bigger wingmen.

Blinebury speaks the truth. How can anyone still call him a hater after that heartwarming endorsement for Artest?

Boston seemed to do alright with their big 3 starting last year, 66-16 with a championship. Something tells me that when they come here on the 4th that we'll be wanting all 3 of our stars on the court to start the game.

Howard was torching Artest in the first half.

Having an offensively challenged Battier starting with Ron coming off the bench will be a fatal error. Yao,Tracy and Ron will get better by playing with each other. The fact that both Tracy and Yao are coming off injuries makes it even more imperative for Ron to be a starter.
Ron is the only person who is capable of enforcing anything on the court.
    Fran is a joke.
